What is the keyword density on ezinearticles?

I want to start doing article marketing but have a question on keywords. Lets say I write a 400 word article how many times can for example:

"how to play guitar"

appear in the article itself? Is putting "how to play guitar" in that order 5 times too much for 400 words? Will ezinearticles reject it because I overused that phrase? Thanks

Ok thanks a lot. I guess since I will be writing 400 words I will only add my keyword phrase 4 times.

On average KW density should be around 2%.

In some niches it can be as high as 9%.

I always recommend no more than 2% when testing a niche. Once you have decided what keyword phrases you are testing then you will want to analyze page one of google for each phrase to see what the average kw density is. After all that is the only results your competing for is page one ... only 10 spots. Even if you niche has 165 million results returned your only concern is what is in on page one which means you are only competing against 10 spots.

Another factor you may want to start seriously considering is LSI I suspect google is including this in their caffeine update as a major part of their algo.

Even if I am wrong LSI can significantly add to your bottom line in keyword research.

In the the last 2-3 years of doing this for 10 years I have noticed that LSI is something to take note of.

I think it is 1% at Ezine Articles, not sure where I got the information though. I did have an article not approved a while back and they may have told me that my article had to be 1%, but not sure.

Place your keyword phrase exactly as is, once in the title, once in the first sentence and every 100 words.

You would want to use that phrase about 6-8 time. You may even consider using it more depending on the niche.

It is easy to figure out what KW density by using a free FF plugin such as seoquake if you want to analyze you competitors on page one of google.

I just submitted an EZA article yesterday and it wouldn't let me until I got my KW density below 2%. So there is really no way for you to screw up, they won't even take your submission without it being correct.

Good point ... when submitting to article directories I keep it about .5-1.5% for a keyword but I am also targeting about 3-5 phrases per article.

You may want to take a serious look at LSI ...

Jack Duncan who frequents this forum address this topic brilliantly.

I have never had a EZ problem with KW density under 2% and I submit several articles a week.
