After 7 months My first product launch coming up !

Post: #1 Launching a Fitness Product this coming week after 7 months!
after 7 months of messing around, and 3 months of working my ass off and the past 2 weeks of sleepless nights, my first program is being launched this tuesday, expecting over 200K opt ins will be mailed out.

well see how many will follow through and actually mail out.

by the way i have had so many temp. defeats, i havent made a dollar online yet, i have spent so much money on line on many different programs, so i am holding my fingers crossed and looking forward to make my first $ this week

couple of questions.

i have used testimonials on my website and i know FTC has some new restrictions, now i live in Vancouver, does FTC's laws apply here? if so what exactly do i need to add to the page to cover myass?

2nd question, any one is interested to have a look at my sale page and give me some feed backs on how to make it better? i would really appreciate it ( am i allowed to post link here ? )

3rd question, how much money do i need to spend to test the page's conversion, i only have 3 days to the launch day(Tuesday)

any other advice that can help me i appreciate it

      Sean,
First of all, great work on getting started and getting your launch ready...

As for testing, I'd recommend you go ahead and install ClickTale so that you can get some good real time video feedback on your salesletter...and can spot potential problems very quickly...

Secondly, as for testing, have you done any PPC analysis on your competitors...to find out what keywords are making them money?

Having this information will go a long way when you begin your testing...you don't want to create too much noise in your tests from keywords that just simply don't convert well...

And having these keywords, you can present them as converting keywords to potential affiliates...who can then use them to promote their affiliate link.

      Best of Luck!

wow that clicktale is crazy i didnt know it exists

as for the PPC keyword research, do i choose a competitor's website and then put their address in google's keywords tool and find out what are the keywords? and then use those keywords to set up my google adwords?

can you give me a bit more info , i m not too faimliar with that

hey Sean, congratulations, be sure to let us know how it goes

    1. i don't think it will apply to u or me (i live in the UK) but you can listen to an FTC interview here Q&A With FTC Re: Bloggers, Affiliates, Advertisers & More

    2. post the link in your signature and we'll gladly check it out

    3. you don't really need to spend any money, you can make an almost identical site with one variation on and drive traffic to that after your launch, after 200-300 visitors, if its converting better than keep the changes, if not discard it

    hope this helps

    Hey Sean,

I live in Vancouver as well [Canada, not Washington, right?], and no, the FTC doesn't apply to us.

But you want to check with your merchant. If your merchant has any chance of getting flak from the FTC about your salescopy, you'll have problems with them.

    Cheers.

Sean, it looks like you have really put some long hard hours into all of this
I really like the pictures, they show amazing results!

I live in Alberta (Calgary) and I too have been wondering about the FTC, thankfully some of my questions have been answered in this post.

All I can say is WTG! it's looking good!

    Hey Sean!

FIrst off, congratulations on taking action. Once the launch is over, you are already done with 3/4 the work you need to do to make money online through product launches.

With regards to FTC, im pretty sure you will get value from here michelfortin.com

With regards to the landing page, yeah, it looks pretty good and very professional. I do have some points that you would want to consider though.

1.) Clearly layout which products are you really offering up front and they need to convey how your visitors will help them. Right now, there is just too much ebooks out there that a person scrolling down (30-second rule) to check you out will not have an idea what you are offering.

2.) I would say add something to the title. Just putting in "The ultimate fitness pack" will still be vague. Add up the benefits or answer the "What's in it for me" question for the visitor.

Hope this helps. Keep it burning bro!

    Hi

Site looks great. i don't understand why your giving a trial though let me know how that works out for ya i am definitely curious

    FTC REGS
the FTC regs do so apply to Canada the UK Europe and anywhere else the US has agreements with governments about. the best way to avoid anything is just to be honest the FTC arrested a person in Australia not long ago. and even though someone may say oh no they won't bother you they could do anything they wanted in reality i did not see anything that was questionable on your site and if you receive testimonials just make sure they are verifiable and your good to go .

I chuckled with your title the Ultimate Fitness Pack. My first product was /is called the Ultimate Business Package. lol
Anyhow best of success to you

        Hey,

        Hope the launch goes well.

I do have one question however and that is why would I want (If I was a potential customer) to get 12 different fitness products?

Surely the information each person is going to recommend will be different and more than likely conflicting?

Moreover it's confusing. Who's book would I look at first?

You really should test this before launch. Because a couple hundred dollars testing is better than losing money in lost sales (if you are expecting a lot of traffic)

          good points !

I over come that objective in the lauch emails, we talk about how normally you only get 1 program for and hope it works for you, but with this program youll get them ALL and see which one you like the best to follow through, for the price of one...

plus it covers different aspects of fitness, supplement, training, cardio videos, weight loss hypnosis ect...

So i guess i should explain what i just told you in the intro copy, because im sure if you are confused my customers will be too..

i am seting up adwrods campains spending 300$ on it, as you recommended.

I m going to put a video of myself explaining what i just told you and see how that conversts.

          thanks again

Hate to tell you this (although you might already know). The images are suspect/false.

"Tosha's" images are of someone who did Body for Life to lose her weight. The pictures are from the Body for LIFE Tracker website.

You have a BUNCH of before/after pictures. If they're from various places on the web, the odds are high that others will catch them, too.

Can I ask why you're expecting 200k optins? Do you already have a list or are you driving all this traffic via PPC?

BTW, how did the launch go today? I hope it was terrific!
