Best PDF creation software?

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi guys,

What would you recommend in terms of PDF creation software? I.e., for say taking an MS word document and converting to PDF, locking PDF files (password protecting), marking up documents, etc, etc?

The best one I know of is Adobe Acrobat Professional. It's a little expensive but well worth it I think.

I believe that Open Office is capable of PDF creation, but I'm not sure if the software can create one from a Word doc or not.

Word 2007 has a Save to PDF function built in, I believe an addon is available for 2003 and possibly earlier from the Microsoft website

I would have to go for Adobe Acrobat

My main tool is OpenOffice, but I keep a copy of Acrobat for other stuff... and as Mary points out above, you can't migrate word docs to .pdf very well with OpenOffice.

I agree with Open Office, in fact I prefer it over Microsoft Office.

Another option I've used for years is CutePDF, a free utility that installs a virtual printer, allowing you to make a PDF from any program with a print function.

When I was on Windows, it'd have been Open Office all the way.

  I have used Zohowriter an online word processor. You can print to a pdf and then save it. Pretty easy to do. You can upload lots of file types to Zoho.
