Looks really good to me, Jared -- one minor suggestion: whenever someone clicks on a link to an outside site (for instance, in the Bookmarks section) have it open in a new window so they're not taken away from your site.

    Nice layout and user interface.

Thanks Ken, good catch & Done... just updated the Visit Resource link to _blank. Ultimately, all ouside links will point to a new window, just as soon as I find all the loose stragglers.

I'll have a look at this if i get a chance.

First impressions are that it's a really nice site design. I way prefer clean designs like this to many other design concepts.

It looks very nice Jarad, I like the interface.

As Ken points out it would be better if the external sites opened in a new window - your website lists many useful resources and it would be nice to open many of them at once without losing your site.

Otherwise it looks like a good concept.

I know you're just in beta now, but will you be taking suggestions for other links and/or contributions? Please let me know, I'd be interested in contributing.

Best of luck with your new site.

On first impression, it looks very clean and professional.

The domain is a bit hard to remember (atleast for me, lol). Might i suggest a shorted domain that redirects to it (like tkmarketing.com?)

Somewhere above the login box on the homepage, I'd reccomend a well written, welcoming message that explains WHAT your social network is geared towards/what it's about.

I just tried the sign-up process. I think you need an explanation of the difference between "display name" and "username" - if there is one. I tried to put my real name in the "username" box and it said I'd used invalid characters - which I took to be the space between Carol and Smith. So I used rosetrees for both fields.

Edit: Forgot to say - I like it. Nice clean layout and lots of useful tools when you log in

Thanks for testing the signup Carol, Good idea to add an explanation of the differences, will do.

The Display Name is what everyone sees with your avatar, and you can use spaces.

The Username is what is used to login and within your URLs, and cannot use spaces.

You can change your Display Name anytime within your settings:

^ That info should definitely be on the signup page...

    Thanks again!

On your register page. I am more comfortable entering my email address if I see a little blurb like " Your email address will not be shared or displayed"

Like the look of the site so far. Will dig in deeper soon as I can.

I just registered and I'm quite impressed, so far. Very clean looking and even though it's flashy, the loading times are minimal.

So, you're saying we can promote/bookmark our own websites? What are you going to do against spam?
Of course, it's great if we're allowed to promote our own stuff, but it would be too bad if the bookmarks just ended up crammed with on crappy minisite after another.

I'm not hugely into telekinesis - I might have managed it once (long story!). Is that really the "niche" for this site, or is it meant to be a more general network for all marketing?

I like that it's aimed at marketers. I just signed up and checked out most of the links. I am not that into social networking, or haven't been thus far, so don't really have any suggestions at this point. You've definitely added a lot of great resources, though.

Great suggestion, I just added this text to the register page: "We respect your privacy and we won't sell or distribute your e-mail address."

Also added the suggestion from rosetrees to explain the Display name/Username differences.

What do you think of the updated register page? : Register // Telekinetic Marketing

Yes, you will be able to promote/bookmark/blog about your own websites/products/services, but there will be strict rules, (which I will be adding to the Register page shortly) and we will be closely watching all activity.

There are already safe-guards in place to fight spammers and ban offenders on the admin side, as well as 'Member Moderation' on the user side with a site-wide "Report This" link which members can utilize that alerts mods of anything that may be breaking the rules.

lol... Your 'long story!' sounds interesting Telekinesis isn't the actual niche, it's geared towards marketing... I just liked the name Telekinetic Marketing, it reminds me of 'kinetic energy'... and kinetic energy is cool.

Thanks Tina, I figured the best way to start would be load it up with great resources, make it stickier than super glue... to give people a reason to bookmark the site and join.

Can you think of any resource categories I have missed?

Sounds good, Jared. Member moderation is probably one of the best solutions for this kind of thing.

Looking forward to seeing how TM develops.

      Thanks Shane, me too.

I just went back through everyone's wonderful suggestions and applied them all.

I can't tell you how much my fellow Warriors feedback helps since I'm working by myself on this particular project... which I'm sure many of you can relate to.

Please keep the great feedback coming!
