As long as you're not too harsh I am need of some constructive criticism regarding my site. Please keep in mind that not only I am new to this forum, but also my website is very new as well. I know many of you have much more experience with this than I do, and will try and implement suggestions. I have yet to make a cent, but realize need help getting paying traffic. Thanks in advance.

Also if you could maybe mention something that I am doing alright, that would help my self esteem.

Thought I had a link to my website in my signature, maybe that is what I need help with first.

The font is too big. So the first thing you need to do is make it smaller.

Hiya mate, I think it's ok to start with, just start to flesh it out with decent content so people start to trust you before clicking on links. It's also a good market to collect email address so that would be something good to do and help you no end in the long run.

You could try to experiment with a single squeeze page - that's an approach I think I'd go for. Giving good help as you reason for them to provide their details.

    Good luck fella...

    Hi kcom

For a first effort it's a step in the right direction, the design is clean and functional. As you asked for criticism I'm going to give you some though, I'll be gentle!

From a technical perspective there are a few minor issues:

    - As goodmast3r mentioned the font is large , it actually looks like it is all in bold. As I'm an old guy with weak eyes I kind of appreciate that but most people will probably find it a bit intense.

    - Some of the graphics look like they are at the wrong aspect ratio and are being "stretched" to fit into the available space, you may want to edit them to fit better.

    - The text on the front page needs more "white space" (dark grey space in your case!) - this would make it easier to read. Remember that writing and formatting text for the web is different than it is on paper.

    - Your header "moves around" - i.e. the order of the Platinum, Gold and Silver offer changes. From a user interface perspective this is confusing, it should be the same on every page.

    - The Gold and Silver offer banners should have a transparent background instead of a white one, to match the rest of the site.

Now from a site content perspective:

    - Essentially there is no content, just a few small paragraphs leading to ClickBank products. No useful information, no incentive or reason to click the links.

    - There is no page with your Privacy Policy or an About Us page to indicate to the perspective customer who they are dealing with.

    - You have no method of capturing visitor information,so you won't build a mailing list using this site.

You may want to consider using WordPress instead of Website Tonight, you'll have much more flexibility with your design and the features you can offer.

Best of luck with your site and stay warm - I hear it's pretty frigid in Calgary this week!

Ok after taking a quick glance at your site here is what I take from it.

The color seems to strong to me, that may be just a personal preference.

As far as if a potential customer comes to sites , they really are not getting , much of a idea of what each program is and what it offers them.

When I build my sites , I make sure to look at the competition to see what they are doing typical research stuff. Also you have to understand your potential customers, so put yourself in the eyes of them. Which in that niche should be easy since you are pretty much there right now looking to produce a online income right?

So ask yourself a few questions , at least that is what I do myself.

    1. If I was looking to buy a product what is it that I would need to make me feel like I can't pass this up?

    2. Why would I buy from this site not elsewhere?

    3. Am I being lied to just to benefit the site owner?

    4. Is the product described so I have a clear understanding of what I am getting with my purchase?

    5. Is it easy to read and flow through the site?

Just a few of the basic thoughts that I go through when I put together a site.

Hope this helps you out a bit.

    Good Luck to you

    Zac

Lots of good, constructive comments above. My comment is a one liner: There is not a compelling reason for me to purchase a product, nor a reason to come back to the sight.

Give useful valuable content, give the reader a reason to come back.

Install an opt in box for subscribers, maybe they will not purchase today, but follow up with them and they may purchase in the future. Generally speaking, consumers do not purchase from strangers, you need to build a relationship with them, once you have their trust, then they may be more inclined to buy.

Keep it up, Keep pushing forward,

      • The blue text on a grey background is unreadable on my screen.
      • You need to say a lot more about each program. I get the impression that you don't actually know what each of these programs involves. Write me a proper review and tell me what these programs are about.
      • The menu bar items move around, so it is hard to work your way through the content, as often you click on the next item only to be taken to a page you have already visited
