Free blog website for sale - is it worth it?
Yesterday I was going thru a list of free blog sites when I came to one that is down (offline). It appears to have been down since may or july 09.
it had been a pr 5 or 7 (?) so out of curiosity I wrote to the owner to see if the domain was for sale, he wrote back that he would sell it what would I offer. I wrote back with the number $3000, he wrote back accepted, wants to start an escrow.com
I guess now I better check and see what the real value is....
it is free wordpress hosting and had thousands of blogs..
of course now there will be some ill will with all the people who lost their blogs...
anyway, just wanted to see if you have an opinion on if you think this may be a good investment or not..
pros:
aged site - previous high pr
software ready
cons:
ill-will by those who previously lost blogs
initial investment (versus starting new site from scratch)
I guess the first question I need to ask: "are free blogging platforms a good business model"...
