Hi all, Do most of you use iStockPhoto to download most of your royalty free stock photos or do you use some other good gallery sites as well? Thanks! |

I use Google Image Search. Go to Google Images, click advanced search (next to the search box), change the Usage Rights. You can choose to only show images that are: -Labeled for reuse -Labeled for commercial reuse -Labeled for reuse with modifications -Labeled for commercial reuse with modifications |

I like the selection on iStockPhoto better, but StockXpert has a pretty darn good selection too and you get a lot more bang for your buck there. The credits are cheaper, and in many cases photos don't cost as many credits. Of course I always look at stock.xchng first, in case I can find what I want for free. Usually I don't, but I've had some pleasant surprises. |

I don't think I saw photorack mentioned (I looked twice, but it's getting very late here and I'm starting to go a bit keyboard cross-eyed so I may be wrong ).Just in case I'm not... Photo Rack - Stock Photos |

I use Dreamstime a lot. A much better search function than iStockPhoto, and high quality photos.

Just wanted to confirm if I can buy and add text to stock images. Basically, what I intend to do is add text to images and make them animated gifs with a call to action (click here etc.). The image if clicked would lead to an affiliate product. Also, I believe I can crop the image to suit my site page's layout I could check with istockphoto but they have a TAT of upto 5 days, so thought of checking here to get a prompt answer. Thanks! |

| Veer.Com has a great selection of stock photos for free. While many of their photos are for sale, many of them can be downloaded as a "COMP" -- complimentary -- with no restrictions. They also have great pics for $1 as well. Just search for pics, download the comp, and it's yours. And no, there are no watermarks on the comps either -- they can be used as is. |
