Your Input, Please!

Hello,

I am BRAND new to internet marketing and thought that I would create a website where I can log all of my internet lessons and at the same time possibly build something that others may find interesting enough to visit often because of the quality and quantity of information in one place.

I just started putting this site together and was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me there input. I am looking for good input, not something that is going to put my site down please..

    Your WordPress header seems to be detached from the rest of the site.

    I think you are trying to monetize too hard before you build your audience.

    Your WordPress theme is basic enough. I've never been a fan of creating placeholders for where content will soon be. You make people click around but they don't find anything which frustrates them. I would only display the categories and links that are live.

      I noticed that but cant seem to fix it?? Would you have any idea what the problem is? It wasn't like that when I started, so I did something wrong.

      Hey Douglas,

      Thanks for the compliment...I think? I am in fact new to internet marketing. I am good with computers and I learn fast. My website has a LOOOONG way to go though. The first few months I spent time on my vision and where I want to go with it, so now I have goals that I have been achieving, but it is a work in progress.

      I guess I should of asked what people thought of the overall layout. Content is coming this week..

    Yea, you could really do with getting more substance up before you worry about feedback and peoples opinion.

    It's pretty difficult to assess the whole impact of a website or blog when it has little content.

    OK, Fred, here goes...

    Overall, the layout is pleasant enough. Nothing knocks my socks off, but nothing really calls out to me, either.

    Getting picky...

    > The gradient in your header background makes your tag line tough to read. You might want to swap ends, so the darker end is hidden behind your photo.

    > You might want to build your traffic and participation on the blog before you start sending visitors to a forum with exactly two posts, both by you, I assume.

    > Since you just declared yourself new to Internet marketing, do you really think it's wise to tout a report claiming you can teach people to make $200 a day? Creates a pretty good credibility gap, I'd say...

    Since you plan to work on the content, I'll stop here.
