Go For Passive Money NOW!

Let me tell you a story why is having passive income so important?

Four or so years ago, I decided to learn how to program and develop web pages. I always liked programming and web development was on the rise.

I took RubyOnRails and started learning it by reading one book, but mostly by doing stuff. It could have been php, python or java, but that's not the point here.

My first project was e-commerce platform, where merchants with real-life stores would open web-shops online in a matter of minutes. They would insert pictures of their items, with title, description and price. They would pay flat monthly fee depending on the number of selling items.

Something like what Magento or any other e-commerce hosting platform is today.

Now imagine a newbie who has just started learning how to program in this new language and he aim's to get money on his _first_ project!

Yeah, right...

I did manage to get this thing up&running, but then lost the stamina and just left it there, unfinished.

In the mean time I left my day job to pursue my own projects - I've become a freelancing programmer.

I'm still in this role today. But here's the fun part.

That old e-commerce platform, no matter how bad it may seem, has been earning me money for last 3.5 years! Every single month I get paid for what I did then!

There were times in my freelance career, when months would go by without having any work. That first project of mine kept me and my family afloat!

And despite there being plenty of opensource e-commerce platforms that have plethora of features and are written hundreds of times better that my will ever be, it's still used by merchants to this day.

Some even prefer it, because it feels like there was a person behind it - so they say.

No matter how bad it may look in your eyes, if it's usable and solves a problem, then people will use it and they will pay you for it.

I can work day&night for my clientele, but that is one-shot deal. I get paid only once, while my old e-commerce platform is paying me every month for lousy work I did years ago.

Don't waste time chasing one-deal opportunities, go for passive money now. Even if money is tiny at the beginning, it will accumulate over the time.

It is, of course, but it's not available in english... yet!

I'll have it translated soon, because this thing is one of the best things I did for a while. And it will, of course include affiliate program :-)

Passive income is the way to go. Why do you think insurance is such a big business? I LOVE anytime you can work for a sale and it just keeps going on and on and on..

    Great post thanks!

This is why I gravitated to writing and marketing info products, once I'd gotten enough experience and success under my belt. I regularly wake up to anywhere from $20 - $100+ each morning from sales of these products. They take 1-10 days to research and write, but even ones I wrote 18 months ago are still making me money in my sleep.

And the kicker is that I've been too lazy to even set up an affiliate program or submit any of them to Clickbank! I'll get around to it eventually, just like the OP kind of petered out on his first project.

I think a lot of Warriors need to take the idea of passive income to heart. Create your own products, set up membership sites with monthly subscribers, etc. You'll essentially be leveraging the calendar. And if you really want to explode things, re-invest some of your profits from those first ventures into outsourcing the more tedious and time consuming aspects and you can scale things up nicely without any extra personal effort.

One possible drawback is user support. That's why I'm deviating toward info products...

Having to keep up with servers and application issues is time consuming, but having an ebook or a membership site is way better.

Getting paid over and over again for work you've done once in the past... That's the holy grail in my opinion.
