Domain flipping question

I have a bunch of domains I would like to offer. Most are parked.

Is it better to sell them as is or would the value increase if I set up a WP Blog and have something online on it ?

Thanks for your tips

    As with real estate...

As property becomes more fully and best utilized, the value increases accordingly.

Developed domains tend to be worth more, on average, than parked domains. However, the key is how you develop it. Don't just install WP and stick a few PLR or EZA articles on it. Add unique, quality content, promote it, and wait to see how it does traffic-wise. If you can monetize it effectively, so much the better.

You may even find that in developing domains to sell, you find one or two that earn enough to make them keepers.

It really depends on the domains. If they are truly great domains that are valuable by themselves, you can sell them without development. If they are not that great, develop them.

A domain name might be iffy by itself, but building a site around it might give potential buyers an idea of what to do with it...

Thank, you all for your answers.

I could see at DP and Flippa that domains alone have really a very low value unless those are one word .com's.

So it's developing and getting traffic and PR - let's get to work.

The funny thing is that you will make more $$$ from a developed domain than parked domain. Develop those suckers and put some relevant ads on them. Personally I would stay away from adsense unless it is a well indexed domain.

It really depends on whether you'd prefer to put your time into marketing or into developing. I've been flipping raw domain names for many years, and as long as you've got desirable domain names, it's very profitable. Developing a domain name into a working, revenue producing website is lucrative as well, if you enjoy developing.

Gene, thanks for making me think of a questions about subject. I have a WP blog with 10 original 750-word posts (no PLR at all and knowledgeable about the niche), all of them tightly focused on the main keyword in the domain and on related keywords, and I have the appropriate Adsense ads showing all the time (meaning the ones I want to have shown to the visitor), and the domain has about 200 pages indexed in Google right now, and the blog is about six months old. Would it be possible to flip it?

Many, many thanks for any input.

I'd say put a neat little site on it.
