Scraping content is when you take content from other places, like other blogs and publish them on your own blog. Pretty much stealing.

Besides scraping, you could load up a blog with content and it could run on it's own, pretty close to auto.

First of all - let me state: I Hate Scrapers! Not only is it a direct stealing of other people work but also adding useless garbage to the net. And most of the time - it will not pay.

With that been said - I have done a review of a way to do Automated WordPress blog the proper way, or rather a product that will allow you to do so. You can read the article and decide if its for you here:

And please - don't become scraper - you will not win anyway, that strategy is one step that gets you closer to failure!

I'd say it's at least arguable if publishing someone else's RSS feed to your own site is stealing or not. After all, it's called syndication

It's also not necessarily "adding useless garbage" to the Net. The big news sites all post redundant content (i.e. Reuters news) to some degree and make money off advertizing.

But from a business building point of view, I wouldn't really recommend it. You can make short-term money this way, not only with Adsense but also with things like Text Link Ads. But you'd be better of spending your time and energy on building something of your own that doesn't rely on a single source of income.
