The Truth About Media Buying

Today's thread is about media buying...

Let's say first, I have a little problem with all this IM business which is that,
I can't help but apply common sense on everything, and sometimes this common sense is against "popular thoughts"

Let's explain...

I read a report which is being sold as a WSO on buying banner ads for CPA offers, using networks like Adbriite and BuyandSellAds..

I decided to give it a try, I signed up for both networks and browsed the sites available for ad placing

I bought an ad on a gaming site, the ad should be displayed for 30 days for $10.

Dirty cheap..ha??

The expected number of impressions is more than 600,000 during this period, with the worst conversion rate in the world, I'll never lose with this..

After 4 days, my ad (according to BuyansSellAds statistics ), received 75,000 impressions, and just 2 clicks!!!!!!!!
what's funny is that, among these 75,000 impressions, my CPA network could only detect 150!!!

Anyways, while I was trying to figure what is wrong, common sense come in play again..

If this ad spot is receiving this number of impressions, and if it works, and if the site owner had the knowledge to sign up for BASA network...
Why on earth he/she didn't sign up for a CPA network with such a hugely traffic"ed" site, choose an ad and place it for themselves...

They just need to generate one or 2 leads to cover this $10 they receive for placing my ad for a month!!

If they cannot generate this couple of leads, why and how I will succeed to do so???


Am I wrong here, or there is something maybe I miss??

I wish any warrior here who found success with this traffic generation method to share some experience
