Problems with Aweber?

I have been using aweber for several years. As I build my different lists, I seed each list with 1-3 different email addresses that come to me. Those email addresses are on 3 different servers that I run... and I have NO filters whatsoever (so I can have full control over what is and isn't considered spam).

This morning, I sent out a broadcast to a few of the lists I have on aweber. I should have received 9 copies of that message (one to each of the 9 seed addresses on those lists). However, an hour AFTER aweber indicated it had finished sending the mail, I still had not received even one copy of the message.

I called aweber. They said the mail had gone out and I should check with my email provider to see if they were filtering it.

After explaining 3 times in 3 different ways that the addresses go to my own servers so I AM my own email provider, and explaining that the emails were NOT filtered out... and that, if the problem was on my end, then at least ONE of my seed addresses would have received a copy of the mail... they finally agreed to notify the developers about this to see if there's a problem on their end (although I got the feeling they were just saying that to pacify me, so I don't know if anything is really going to be done).

I'm wondering if anyone else is having this trouble with aweber?

I sent out a broadcast yesterday and had no problem.

I also have a bunch of different email addresses like hotmail, gmail, yahoo, aol etc. and didn't have any delivery problems. Do you have any other addresses other then the ones on your own server. Might be a idea to track how your emails are delivered.

      Holly,
Is there any chance that you have exceeded your storage limit on your server?

I only ask because recently I had this problem...and it really perplexed me for a long time....

If for some reason the server storage is full...then the emails never get delivered (because they cannot be stored...)

      Just a thought?

      Hope this helps,
      Jack Duncan

P.S. I sent out 2 broadcasts yesterday to two lists and didn't have any trouble...

P.S.S. Does the "Test" email from Aweber get delivered?

Hmmm, the problem isn't my server. I'm getting other emails at the same addresses with no problem.

    The test message went through.

And, the mailing I did yesterday via aweber went out with no problem.

I've heard from someone who runs another autoresponder service that (even with aweber), when their mailserver gets overloaded it will dump the messages rather than mail them.

I guess what bothers me about my interaction with aweber today is their insistence that the mail was sent when it so obviously wasn't.... they won't admit it is even possible their mailserver got overloaded and dumped the mail.

I'm seriously thinking of switching to another service that will admit responsibility if there is an error. Does anyone have any recommendations?
