Win-win-win marketing

Hi Warriors,

I'd like to set up a win-win-win marketing scenario.

Here's the situation:

1. I've got a product of my own, an application that can benefit any Windows user, so it has wide appeal.
2. I've got an organization, my alma mater elementary school, experiencing difficult financial times.
3. I've got a starting base of potential clients (other alumni).

I'd like to market my product via a web site, direct response emails, passive hyperlinks in email signatures, and perhaps other ways. Product sales would be set up in an affiliate program to be divided among the organization, the clients and myself.

For instance, the organization would get a portion of each sale, say 50%. The client would get a portion of each sale they generated, say 25%. I would get a portion of each sale, say 25%.

The client would have the option of keeping their portion, or passing all or part of it along to the organization. I, too, would have that option. We could even get creative and have some sort of matching contribution arrangement to help spur sales.

Benefits:

The organization would benefit financially, with no effort on its part. It is already plenty busy trying to raise funds in ways such as bake sales, car washes, chicken dinners, coupon booklets, etc.

The clients would get satisfaction from supporting the organization, from affiliate financial rewards, and from the product itself. The clients would have motivation to promote the product and further financially benefit both themselves and the organization.

I would get satisfaction from helping the organization, the clients and myself.

Once I set the campaign in motion, it would hopefully be self promoting (passive).

I know the experience base of the Warrior Forum is awesome. So, I'm humbly presenting this idea for discussion, suggestions, detecting any problems with the approach.

The organization is in real peril of being closed due to finances, so there is an urgency to this effort. I don't want to say I could have done something to help but didn't.

Thanks for reading and for any responses,

Fabian
