How can I remove "posted by - name" and the time and date, from my wordpress posts?

Do I have to use a plugin, or alter code? Or is there more than 1 way to go about it?

Thanks

For an existing theme the only way I know of is to go into the code and remove it.

Mike is right. You have to go into the code and remove it.

Either get a developer to do it for a few bucks or you can scour the code to find anything that says "user name" or "name" and try erasing it.

Can I remove the time and date, from the general settings menu? What does that do?
