Effective Ways to Rewrite an Article

When you want to rewrite an article faster, I highly recommend John Schwartz' report which can be found in the WSO section --click here. He cut my rewriting time in half with the tips he gives.

As to writing faster with original writing, you will find that speed comes with time to a certain degree. It also helps when you write about something you know about. The more research you do within your niche, the more you will know and the faster it will be to write a new article.

There are many good software for it but for easy way, you can use google translate for it.

I agree with Ken, choose quality rather than rewrites. Search engines LOVE new content, and that means articles that have new thoughts, as well as different structure and wording. Readers do not want to read articles that they have read before, even if the words were slightly different. Fresh, original content will win hands down every time in my book. Why bother with a re-write of someone else's ideas? Use your own and come up with a unique article that no-one else could have written.

Rewriting an article may be enough to get past a program like "copyscape", but it really is cheating! The original author of the article put forth their own ideas and you are being an idea thief, even if the "rewrite" passes a copying test. Wouldn't you hate to see your hard work copied by a thief who spends 15 minutes changing it to make it "new"! Internet marketers should have an ethical standard and conscious too. Eschew "rewriters" and go for the best option - original written works the author is proud of. There are plenty of options out there, so don't be suckered into thinking you need only put any old article on your site. Readers can be savvy and will know if the article is familar with another one. Go for quality, unique, and original articles that attract readers to your site, without worrying about "rewrites"! You will gain far more traffic and respect from your readers.

First let me say before others start on how crappy spun articles are. Not all articles are spun that read the same way with out a few words changed. Some of us actually spin properly by paragraphs and make the articles 70%+ unique. Yes I can produce 25 - 50 articles that are 70%+ unique in approx 2 hours. You will see an example below but first let me say this..

The reason why some of us that work smart and spin our articles is because it is very effective marketing. Some of the reasons to spin articles are:

* Create Mini Reports
* Create Press Release
* Create Blog Post
* Create Ebooks
* Create PDF Documents
* Create Squido and Hubpages
* Create Videos

But there is more to it then just this.

Let's say you write your article and post it on your site and then take that same exact article and post it on 10 article directories. There is nothing at all wrong with this and no it will not hurt your rankings and no duplicate content penalty does not exist.

But you may very well be missing out on great opportunities to generate additional opt-in's, customers, or followers.

Now let's say you properly spin your article (not tweak it, but spin it to 70%+ uniqueness) and you post the original on your site and post 10 spun articles on 10 article directories.

This is what you are going to get for working smart and taking the time to "properly" spin your article.

1. You can use this spun content to repurpose into other formats as explained in the above post.

2. Almost all article directories have author rss feeds, if you submit those feeds then all you are doing is putting out 10 rss feeds that have the same exact content. Who wants to subscribe to 10 exact same rss feeds ? If you spin the articles and each directory gets a different spun article then your author rss feeds are now 70%+ unique and thus will get more subscribers.

3. If at such time the article directories or search engines do start kicking out articles that are posted on other sites then you entire business is screwed. If you spun them though, you have nothing to worry about because you worked smart and took care of the problem before a real problem existed.

4. By properly spinning your articles you have the ability to target other keywords with the spun versions, everybody knows targeting just 1 keyword is not going to brng the bacon home. You must target several different keywords.

There are other reasons but this could turn into an entire ebook if I was to explain it all...

Properly spun by paragraphs (not word replacements by some pre-set database)..

These are 2 paragraphs in a spun article of mine. Notice the difference in the wording used and the length of paragraphs. This is not some word replacement or some {|} crappy curly braces with brackets, this is new paragraphs written by my own hands and not some pre-set database of words.

After writting about 5 alternatives for each paragraph then it is ready to be spun and will produce very readable results with 70%+ uniqueness. This is assuming you have an article that is about 600 - 800 words.

Takes a little bit of work but hey no writer can produce 25 or even 50 articles in 2 hours. So a measly little 2 hours I have totally unique content that can be repurposed and submitted with no problems at all. Best thing is "EVERY SINGLE WORD IS WRITTEN BY ME"..

If you have a PLR article you want to make "original," I have found it useful (I use 2 monitors) to open the original PLR article in 1 window and a blank doc in another, and put them side by side. Then as I read the PLR article I rewrite it in my own words. The PLR gives me the ideas to write and I end up with a unique article in the end.

I've not yet seen a spun article that comes close to a hand written one. Nor have I seen a GetAFreelancer able to write English like we are used to seeing.

In my opinion, spun articles are just junk.

I think it depends how it is spun. If a machine is doing it by replacing words with synonyms, etc., then it can come out sounding nonsensical. But if you take each sentence of your article and rewrite 4 or 5 new versions with correct grammar, synonyms that make sense within the context of the sentence, etc., then a spinner engine can randomly select sentences and rewrite articles that read well and can pass google's radar and also that of the article directory editors. I have done just this, submitted the original, then submitted a spun article 7 days later getting it published without question on EZs, this using "human rewrites" with a machine spinner engine.

I can't write fast either. I often rewrite my own articles to submit to article directories, and it STILL takes me forever. I can spend 30 minutes trying to create the perfect paragraph. LOL

You can use article rewriting software, it will generate rewrites that will pass the filters but quite often the sentence structure, grammar, and synonyms used are completely nonsensical

Perhaps it might help to find out where you're spending most of your time? For me, it's research. Sometimes I'll set a timer to help me focus when I'm doing research, and I remind myself I only need to check 3 or 4 sources. Otherwise I keep going and going.

Also, look at the structure of your articles. There are formulas you can follow such as:
Introduction - Explain the problem and tell them what you will be telling them.
Paragraph 1 - 1st point.
Paragraph 2 - 2nd point.
Paragraph 3 - 3rd point.
Conclusion - Leads to resource box.

I would also suggest, since the research is done, you write as many articles as you can revolving around what you now know. Make the first one the above format, then the next about common mistakes. You can also do a Top 7 or 10 tips, a personal story angle, an interview angle, and a Q and A or FAQ article.

Thank you VERY much for your replies. I am grateful for taking the time to help me and I have gleaned a lot of useful stuff. Will be pouring over it more this next week.

My initial thoughts is yes, high quality content is preferred. And when I do rewrite an article, I want at least a 90% uniqueness. Did find someone back east on GAF to rewrite several of my articles but then still had to go back and edit about a third to turn it back to my voice.

I have purchased PLR (including Peggy's) but use it for the ideas and flow but always changing to fit me.

I use DupeFreePro to ensure the uniqueness.

Never did I consider the ethical use of of using PLR/Rewriters until now. Will have to mull that over.

I do understand there is a difference between legally ethical behavior and morally so. Is there a difference of using PLR/rewriters and rewriting in my own voice from doing research and then writing from what is "now" in my head?

Just trying to sort through my thoughts here, not start anything. There is obviously passion about it on both sides just in this tiny thread. I trust it has helped the 200 or so who have been peeking in also.

I have been sitting in front of my screen here a few minutes trying to figure out the take away. It is this (until it changes):

As Ken Evoy says, keep it real. Whatever goes on my site or on other sites with my name make sure it is high quality and continues to be "my voice".

And I will consider the report mentioned and other places to help me with techniques to "write smarter".

Think.

Then re-write it!

For instance read this paragraph:

"Traffic is required in order to make any sales. It is no secret that without any traffic your trying to go upstream without a paddle. Online there are various over hyped techniques that people will tell you, you need for traffic. Here I have listed all of the ones that I know work for me, but let me tell you, these aren't magic, work is required. The payoff is what's worth it"

Rewrite it as :

"In order to successfully run an online business, you need traffic. Without traffic you might as well not have a website up and running! The problem is sorting through the various methods out there and finding the real ones that work. This is why I am here; I have here the free traffic techniques that I know work, they work for me and they can work for you too. All you need to do is be ready for a little work, and a lot of profit."

Those two paragraphs literally took me like 4 minutes.

Just re-write ideas and let it all flow. I have not edited the paragraphs so they may have some errors, but generally you just have to re-read what you wrote out loud.

I don't have any tips for you on how to rewrite an article faster or write up a quality article fast. But, if you want to outsource the rewrite, I use humanrewriter.com.

Another option is to just do a simple restructure. Turn a statement into a question or into a how to or into a edgy opinion piece by injecting some chutzpah...There are quite a few ways to restructure content using logic flow or personality...I don't want to ruffle any feathers so I'll just leave it at that...

I find the best way to rewrite is to rewrite each paragraph, rather than each sentence or phrase. You'll find your finished product is much more readable, and often more unique as well.

I am up to about 2 articles per hour. I can't imagine the crap out there if people are writing an article every 10 minutes.

If you directly believe in what you are writing, and it holds any true relevance to you, then speed writing will come naturally. You will know what to say almost instantaneously.

As they often say "Write whats in your heart"

Truly, if your articles are true to you, then they will come naturally. Just relax and dont stress it, write what you want to say and YOUR article will come through.
