CB Merchant sell over 1ShoppingCart in his funnel - Is this OK?

I started a new site and got a CB merchant which fit's into the niche.

All fine till here. Like always I sign up to his funnel to see what and how he market to "my" clients over emails.

Funny though that the sales links in the emails lead to a page on the same domain, but where the product is sold over 1SoppingCart - no affiliate commission for me I guess.

Do you think I should complain or is this somehow linked together - CB and 1SC ?

Any thoughts ?

G.

Mmmm....that sounds fishy to me. Nope 1shoppingcart and CB doesn't go hand-in-hand from what I know.

If the merchant has any payment processor other than Click Bank, I would not promote that offer.

You get commissions on the front end product.

What he does with his business after that is up to him.

Many products and services simply cannot be sold through clickbank and frankly his business model sounds like a smart one.

If I were you I'd ask him if you can promote his products and services in 1shoppingcart instead.

Clickbank sucks in the first place.

The merchant sounds like a smart merchant who is using clickbank as it should be used in the first place...

As a set and forget advertising portal to drive business off it into the real world where real businesses are run with real ecommerce solutions.

Most clickbank affiliate programs don't pay back end commissions which is one of the reasons I do not promote them.

      Hi Josh

Now I get the chance to thank you for the great contribution with the Camstudio video, I needed that lately and really liked it.

But sorry to disagree with you here on this point...

If I drive traffic to a merchant sweating blood, where the optin box is on top of the sales page but the order button only way down at the bottom, meaning that the sales page is focused on getting leads, then I would like to see that my traffic will make me a commission as well over the merchants sales funnel.

It's possible with CB, several merchants do this (Commission Blueprint, to mention one).

I guess it's useless to ask him to promote over both processors as once a lead is in HIS funnel I ain't have control at all.

It's smart for him from a seller point of view as most affiliates won't check this, but I don't think it's fair.

By the way, it's a ebook with a physical upsell.

Anyhow, thank you for your input and again, thanks for the great video.

      G.

The way I understood the op was that this guy had an opt in form on his main Clickbank sales page that the op was sending traffic to, and when he was promoting the same exact product to the list (with leads the op sent him), he wasn't using a page with a Clickbank buy button.

I'd have no problems with the merchant selling back ended stuff to the list that I wasn't making commissions from at a later date, but I won't promote a product that does this.

I know one of the popular Acne products on Clickbank does exactly this, so I was lucky I signed up for their email list to check them out before promoting it.

        You should read this thread:

        http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...hijacking.html

What you mention is just one of many sneaky tactics some clickbank sellers use.

In that thread I also list the "hard questions" you should ask the vendor before you promote a product.

        Pat

        that's exactly what's happen.

It's a book about tennis elbow relief where you get at the sales page a free video lesson if you opt in, the order button is way at the bottom.

As we both know most opt in in stead of "buy now" as Free always works better then paid.

So did I and the first mail I get has a link to the free video, at the same domain where I send my traffic too in first place.

Just now, below the free video lesson, I have a sales part with a shopping cart for the main product plus 2 upsells, all over 1SC. That what stinks.

I'm not sure but close to that I won't get any commissions fro this sales. Funny is that the merchant talks in his affiliate area about the upsell and great commissions etc.

I guess I will try to contact him and ask for a explanation.

thanks to clear this out, maybe my OP wasn't well explained.
