I have an Amazon associate account, and have around 5 different websites promoting certain products. I use Amazon autoposter with my Amazon "tracking ID" which they gave me after I got accepted with my first website.

2 months later, and all my stats ar 0 (Zero) Except for the first few days of when I put some banners to test on my website. All of my sites are ranking and getting traffic, and I have even clicked the links myself to make sure they go to the right place, but nothing is showing in my Amazon reports?

Does anyone know what the problem may be? Can I use the same "tracking ID" for all my sites? And does the free Amazon Autoposter still work correctly?

Thanks - Skiphop

Just a random thought, on the reports tab are you selecting a date range or just looking at the stats? As the stats only show 1 days activity

Does anyone else use the same "tracking ID" for all their sites?

I use different ids for all of my sites and also for different ad formats and then I know what is working the best

        Sorry, can't post a link yet, so I've copy/pasted from Amazon's site.

So do I have to have permission from Amazon before adding links on another site?

I don't know about permission, but they do have a section under your account to add other sites. When I added my second site, that's what i did.

However, I agree with eibhlin. If you have clicked your links and they aren't tracking, contact Amazon about it.

I hope you get this sorted out!

I use different tracking IDs for different niches. I should probably use a different ID for each site, but... it's not that important to me. Amazon is just one of many income sources for me.

(If I was more serious, I'd probably be more scientific about it, as well!)

If your Amazon reports aren't showing any clicks, though you (and perhaps a friend or two) clicked on the links yourself, contact Amazon and ask them for help.

My Amazon income built slowly, as I fine-tuned the niches that perform well for me. I'm not sure that I made much $ during the first three months or so.

What helped the most was to review one or more Amazon products (as a blog entry), and then link to that blog entry at social marketing sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc. That attracts people who are genuinely interested in the niche.

Also, I often create an Amazon text link to the product, and -- at the foot of my own review -- use the link text, "Read more reviews of this product at Amazon.com," or something like that.

Then, Amazon does the selling. I'm not so obviously "selling" anything to my visitors.

Depending on the niche, that kind of linking can out-perform a straightforward "buy this at Amazon" link.

Have you use their link checker to make sure your links are ok? I had a few links I thought were fine but turned up as fails. You never know.

Im not sure if your aff ID would work between UK and the .com site. I've never used .co.uk, do they have a seperate affiliate program from there?

Well they do have an associate programme, and I just assumed I would have to sign up ther because I am from UK?

If you want to send traffic to co.uk then get your links from there if you can.
    Same with Amazon.com

Dont think it matters where you yourself are from.

I use Amazon a lot. And yes I'm too lazy to make too many different tracking id's, so most of them are the same across a range of different sites.

As far as I'm aware, if you sign up to ebay.co.uk you only get commissions from ebay.co.uk. and the same with ebay.com (only get commissions for ebay.com). I've never made anything from ebay.co.uk because I'm not registered with them.

        Correct.

Your amazon.uk account is only good for the UK. If your visitors are in the US, you need to sign up for a US account.

I'm in Canada, but have a US account and send US visitors there.

If you are an associate with Amazon.co.uk you should link to Amazon.co.uk If you want to send people to Amazon.com then you need to signup for the associate program of Amazon.com
Amazon has 6 seperate sites (US, Canada, UK, Germany, France and Japan) and each has it's own associate program and if you want credit for sending people to any of their sites you will need to sign up for that associate program and it does not work automatically if you are an associate to Amazon.com that you can send traffic and earn commissions if you send people to Amazon.co.uk

I'm in the UK and have an Associates account with amazon.com and another with amazon.co.uk. You'll need both too (if you're planning to promote products from both sites) as they are not interchangeable.
