Article Marketing with Adsense ?

Would you use article marketing to drive traffice to a blog that is using Adsense as it's primary monetization strategy? Is there a better way?

Thanks for any help you can give to this n00b!

If I were promoting a blog with AdSense on it, yes, I would use article marketing as well as blog distribution, social bookmarking, Web 2.0, etc, etc. I don't think your monetization strategy needs to affect your link building strategy in a major way. The point of article marketing (or any other link building method) is to get organic search ranking, and that's a good thing no matter how you are monetizing.

Little confused by your question... Many people use blogs for adsense, cpa offers, affiliate links, and etc.. I personally do not but that is me.

You could drive traffic to your blog that sells your own product or just to build up a email list...

    Caneman,

Sure, you can use articles for that. Although I've made some money with Adsense, and continue to use it on a few sites, in general I've changed my thinking on that. I wrote a quick article explaining why and the alternative:

    Driving Traffic... Away?

Also, Ben Roy said the point of article marketing is to get organic search ranking, and while that's ONE point of article marketing, there are a lot of other reasons to use articles.

Article marketing is a well established method for driving traffic to web sites & blogs regardless of how you monetise.
Idealy you want to drive your blog high in the Google search rankings. The back links from articles are one of the methods to help this.
Of course you need to make sure your blog is 'on page optomised' for your chosen keywords as a basic start.
If you apply the same keyword selection for your articles they will rank highly on their own and bring you traffic in their own right.
Use web2.0 stuff like squidoo and hub pages as well. Just make sure you focus on your keywords
    best of luck
