Ezine Article(EZA) Checklist - Article Marketing Checklist

I'm still new to the forum but I read ALOT of posts from people who struggle with EzineArticles.

I was once there, so here's my take on it. Anyone feel free to add anything I've missed.

Checklist:

1. Read the editorial guidlines located here: ezinearticles.com/editorial-guidelines.html (copy & paste - can't link out yet, I don't have enough posts)

-That may seem like enough, but some people still get stuck after reading them, so the second is...

2. READ OTHER ezine articles on the topic you plan on writing about.

-Once you find those, scroll down to the bottom of the page and view the most published. Realize how they're formatted(much like this post-without the hard breaks).

People on the internet prefer to scan, NOT READ, so format your article so it's easy to read.

3. How to format it?? The most published articles are usually published so many times because of there formats. Emulate their formats, (leave lots of white spaces-very easy on the eyes)

Ex: Tips, How to's, DIYs(do it yourself),

"5 Most Common Things to...blank blank...blank..."

"Spouse Help| 5 Important Reasons to Stay Single!" (Just kidding, I love my spouse, Love you babeetc..etc..etc...)

4. Article Title - Keep your keywords in the beginning of the title for the search engines, if your keyword is "dog barking help," your title should look like this "Dog Barking Help - 5 Essential Tips" or similar.

Extra Tip: Make your title clickable as HECK!!(I stopped swearing last month, so I put "heck.") At the end of the title put things like "What You Didn't Know," "Don't Buy Before Seeing This!"

Ex: "Dog Training - Everyone Always Misses This!" Clickable test passed!

5. Article Body - Deliver!!!! OGGI - Only Give GREAT INFO! (I just made that up .) DO NOT SELL!!!! Tell them what the title says you're going to tell them! "everyone always misses this" - TELL THEM what everyone always misses.

Remember to format good, leave white spaces, find tips and rewrite them in your own words. etc etc etc....

Keywords: whatever your keyword/keyphrase, sprinkle it around 3 or 4 times, but NO MORE that. Matter of fact, just do it maybe, 1.5 times per 100 words. ps. make the keyword your anchor text in your resource box, but keep it only 3 words.

I prefer to keep it under 300 words, but, STILL DELIVER and HELP someone.

6. Resource Box - 36 words is 15% of a 250 word article I think! Keep it short, but don't dare be simple. Build MORE CURIOUSITY! Anchor text: <href="website">keywords(3 words make em good)</a> put this where is says "link" in the bottom example.

Ex: "Did you know that only...bla...bla...bla...bla?? Click Here to the next page and see why: "link"

7. I probably left something out.....ummm.... Yes, save and submit!

I hope this helps alot of people, because I sure needed it when I began at a young age(that was like yesterday), but as a side note,

I don't even market in ANY of my articles, I just give good info and make the resource box clickable. The landing blogger blog markets for me.

Once again, I hope this helped
