Do Some Internet Marketers Have An Attitude That Keeps Them POOR!

I was just thinking about something, I have always been a thrifty person. I would do things that require alot of time just to save money. On some level I though that money was more valuable then time, and I would sacrifice time for money.

But now I am beginning to see differently, if I want to reach my six figure goal in 2010 I have to change this way of thinking. I have to begin to see money as a tool that gives me options. I have to see every dollar as little workers designed to make my life easier.

I have to see money like a bag of tomatoe seeds. If I plant them and water them they will grow and give me what I want. My question to the warriors is this.

Do you have some habits as a marketer that you feel may be keeping you from achieving a high level of income?

Procrastination is just one of them. Getting things dones takes a lot of determination and perseverance that not many people have. This explain in part the high failure rate in this industry.
"Jumping around" from method to method or system to system. Not being thorough with the things you set out to achieve. This is what prevents me, and a heck of a lot more people achieve their goals.

    Procrastination is a sworn enemy.

I agree, but lack of focus is my killer. I tend to get distracted by every new toy that comes out. I get 80% finished with a project and the last 20% never gets done, because I got bored or distracted. I have been trying to learn how to focus on completing what I start.

Here's a dollar for your thoughts:

Start thinking about the broad ramifications of finishing a project. Think about all the money it has the possibility of making you. All the convience the money will provide for your life. Think about the feelings of accomplishment and fulfillment you will feel when you finish your project.

Now when you're working on a project... whenever you feel bored, distracted, or giving up... think about the broad ramifications again. If you quit you lose all of that.

Do you really want to lose it all? Do you really want to settle for less?

        I didn't think so...

That's how I keep my focus on my projects and get things done quickly. I want it so bad that I won't stop until I get it.

The more you get things done, the easier it will become for you. It's habit you can develop just like any other habit. You just need to DO IT!

        Hope that helps

Yes you're right. Your time is most important. You can never get it back. You can always get back money (it's hard sometimes)

Other than my brain... I see money as the ultimate advantage, because with it...

          I can buy time
          I can buy food
          I can buy clothes
          I can buy a home

Essentially all the magnificent things that money can buy!

So spend and delegate your time wisely so you can make the most money for your time! (ie Take action and be productive)

Now THAT is worth repeating. You can get money back, but time is gone forever. Not an exact quote, but still beautiful!

Thanks Sam. That is sound advice. I never thought of it that way. I will certainly give it a try. (Sorry, I was distracted. What were we talking about?? : )

For me it is just treating money like it is more valuable then time itself. I have to learn that money gives me the ability to buy other peoples time.

I think your right on with this one. The key is to learn what works so you can use your money wisely. Once you know what you want done and know it is a good spend, then it's time to outsource.

Time is money, in business. If you can afford to outsource, then go for it. That's the only way to explode your income, without a doubt. You have got to outsource. Here's what you do, make enough money on free traffic. When you have received some earnings and built up a budget, take that money and hire GOOD (that's the key, you have to find reliable outsourcers, which takes effort in the beginning, but once you've got them you're golden) outsourcers. Then, take any extra money you have and work on doing paid traffic like PPC, media buys and CPV, etc. as that's something you will have to do yourself, especially at first.

Always invest back into your business a certain % of the profits. I have some sites that I put 100% of the profits back into it every month. When those free traffic methods start to generate your money then continue to use them while taking some profits to invest back into your business to do some of the paid advertising.

At some point you should get to the level where approx 25% of your profits go back into the business every month for it to run itself (outsourcing) while you can work on either new projects or sit back and relax depending upon what your goals are.
