I have a question concerning the use of the new OpenX Video Plugin.

I have a video website that has 3 sections.

Section 1: Short Videos (2 min duration)
Section 2: Medium Videos (10 min duration)
Section 3: Long Videos (30+ min duration)

The short videos will have 8-second bumper video pre-roll ads.

The medium videos will have 15-second pre-roll video ads.

The long videos will have 30-second pre-roll video ads.

An advertiser can purchase pre-roll ads for any section, or a combination of the three.

I was thinking about having each video section's video play it's pre-roll ads from a unique Zone. For instance, the short videos would pull pre-roll ads from "Zone A", and Zone A would only contain video ads that are 8-seconds duration.

Section 2 (the Medium Videos), would pull pre-roll ads from "Zone B", and Zone B would only contain video ads that are 15-seconds duration... and so on.

But what would happen if an advertiser came to me and wanted to run a pre-roll ad exclusively on just ONE of the videos in the Medium Section (Section 2)? In other words, their ad would exclusively play for that one targeted video, but would not be in the rotation for any other video?

And because the advertiser wants to be exclusive to that one video, I'd have to prevent other pre-roll ads from playing on that one particular video as well.

Does anyone have any advice or guidance on how best to implement this?

Thank you so much for any help or assistance.

Regards,

Deke.
