Trying to offer a bonus...

Hi everyone,

I would like to offer my subscribers some bonus software if they purchase a product that I'm promoting as an affiliate. I would like to be able to track those subscribers which buy the product so that I can send them the bonus software for doing so.

The problem is I'm not sure how to do this. The product's affiliate program is run by CJ so I don't see any buyer information. In addition, the subscribers can't forward me the purchase email because it contains too much personal information.

Any ideas on how I can pull this off? Will I need a custom script? :confused:

I realize I could ask the product company if they would confirm any purchases for me, but I'd rather have an automated system in place. Any ideas?

    Just put a CAPTURE EMAIL form on your page
    and offer them the bonus for simply emailing you
    their transaction number to

    an-email-set-up-just-for-that@yourdomain.xx

    and that could autorespond and tell them they

    A can download the product at a certain link
    B it will be delivered their bonus the day after their money back period expires

      Thanks for the reply.

      The problem is CJ doesn't provide me with transaction numbers so I don't have any records to compare with what people enter in the autoresponder.

        You could always pretend. The buyers don't know that you don't get these.
        Would there be any harm in a few people getting the gift without purchasing?
        Not too many would try thinking you have a system in place to check the transaction number IMHO.
