Is this good?

Hey fellow IM'ers,

A buddy of mine called me today and started asking me what I thought about him possibly going online with his knowledge about dogs and puppies. He has been a breeder of Dalmations in the past and owns an English Bulldog and 1 Dalmation at the present. He absolutely loves dogs and puppies!

Anyway, I don't know much about this niche. I did a little keyword research just to see...but I am not sure if it would be that great for a beginner. He wants to create a few products like e books and maybe a video. Is there anyone here that has been in or is in this niche now? Is it profitable? I really would like to help him. Any feedback about this?

    I do know the dog niche gets a TON of searches and is very competitive. But all you need to do is target the right keywords and it can be profitable.

          Good idea! Thanks for the tip there. I really think he could do well and I thought that this was a good niche. I will call him later and tell him to get started on his project! He's a good friend and I really want to help him out. He has been going through a lot of financial struggle, so this is good.

            Jump in with some specific KW research for him on dalmations, etc and help get him the right domain to start with.

            It's getting over 200,000 searches per month - so even just that breed will do well.

            You could do a nice mix of an ebook for that specific breed - as I understand they are not the easiest pets. Toss some adsense on the side in a blog supporting the site - and then expand with some dogfood recipes, etc...
