Affiliate marketing: Am I overdoing it?

This is my first website that I created myself, my concept. My main concept is on how to save money on entertainment. This is my web site: More for Less.

My question is do any of you think I have TOO many affiliates listed in here? Any ideas on how to make my website any better?

Not too many affiliate links, but selling subscriptions for music downloads is going to be tough. There are so many free options out there. For example I have been hooked on this Pandora Radio - Listen to Free Internet Radio, Find New Music for music. You create stations based on songs or artists you like and it will play only music that is similar to that.

They still have drive-ins?! They allow you to read books and mags in bookstores? I think that should be 'libraries'?

I see no problem with the number of affiliates listed, especially since they work into your content rather than being banners and specific "click here" links, which probably aren't as effective as content links. Time to modify my own site, after being reminded of this benefit.

Another option is to provide reviews of the affiliate products you're promoting, rather than just putting up ads and banners.

As far as the drive ins... yep, but I guess that varies from city to city. We do have a drive in left in Wichita. I love it & right now the prices are $10 a carload cuz of it being off season and that's for triple features on weekends! Borders & Barnes & Nobles have comfortable chairs situated throughout their stores.....for what purpose? I browsed books & magazines countless times as I see other people as well. No clerk has EVER told me I couldn't do it & I dare say they ever will!

I was seriously thinking of doing the reviews idea too. Thanks for that input! Now I definitely will start putting in some reviews.

I personally don't think you have too many affiliate links as the links you do have are highly relevant to the subject of the website and are presented within the tips you are giving the visitor to save money. As you've chosen a domain name that can cover an enormous range of areas, your site has huge potential for content on saving money in all sorts of ways. If this were one of my sites I'd reduce the size of the sites logo so that more of your content, and affiliate links, are above the fold i.e. visible without the visitor having to scroll down the page.

What you might want to do is provide a free e-book, cd or DVD for your affiliate products. This way you are building a list and you can continually market to prospects.

Please do not use affiliate links in signatures

          hi,

yes or you can buy lists too and email them and market to them for further traffic/revenue for your site.
