How many blogs do you have?

I just saw an interesting thread in here last night that had an image that displayed a marketing wheel or something like that, the interesting thing I found was that he shows multiple blogs.

How many blogs do you use?

Which blog sites?

When you write an article, and you submit them to each blog, how do you structure your links?

Another thing, do you use the exact same article on each blog?

Do you social bookmark the article on each of the blogs? I mean you submit the same article to 5 different blogs, then do you social book mark it for each blog?

How many blogs do I have?

As of a few minutes ago, 47,940 :-)

You may have seen the "LinkWheel" concept that was very effective a while ago but is much less effective now. I've seen smaller linkwheels with as few as 5 web 2.0 properties. They are still great for getting you indexed fast if you don't have any other options.

How many blogs do you use? Marketing and Online Business Success Blog
One main one but post the same info on several other blog sites like Warrior Forum, Better Networker and Perfect Networker

Which blog sites? I use Blogger and WordPress.Org

When you write an article, and you submit them to each blog, how do you structure your links? I don't use lots of links in my Blogs and Articles, mostly in the Signature. People are reading Blog and Articles for information, not to click on a link embedded. I do use them on occasion.

First let me say I am not trying to take away from the OP thread, so sorry for getting off-topic ..lol Blogs are not the only content sites that can create massive exposure and generate money. Personally I only have a few blogs.

@abednego - I have visited your blog and this is what I would recommend.

      * Your blog has very little content, when I go to your blog I expect to see many comments/reviews/cheats for Farmville. I see very little content which in turn really bores me so I leave... Get more "informative" content on the site.

      * Your ads Farm Domination - Your ads state the name of the website and the highlight text when putting your cursor over the ad states the name again. Many will just type in farmdomination.com just to cut you out of affiliate sales. Get or create a generic ad that does not mention the name of the site/product.

      * Build up your following through your facebook profile (not fan pages) and target related friends that love to play games, especially farmville. Create a group for these friends so you can discuss new and improved features, special offers, and etc. Point them to your blog on discussions.. In other words make a post and half way through that post put a read more link leading to your blog that has the full article.

Invite your friends to play farmville with you, send them farmville gifts and etc... In other words interact with them...

      * You need to offer some type of downloadable guide in pdf format that has your blog links and affiliate links inside it. Offer it to visitors to either download for free or build a opt-in list with it. I say this option here because not everyone is able to build and run a list. Either way you are getting your site out there by offering the guide for free and because it is downloadable it is easily shared.

      * Create an account on places like Scribd and create several "NON-PROMOTIONAL" pdf's and upload them. Have one link on them leading to your blog.

      * Your affiliate ads - Let me ask you this.. Why should I click on that ad and make you money ? Some may find this a rude question but I am being serious ask yourself why should someone click on your ad and make you money. Because if you answer that then half your problems are over with. Think of it like this.. What am I getting out of helping you make money ?

Many people do want to know what they are getting.. They easily can go to the domain and order so what makes you so special that someone should click on this link and make you money ?

I know I asked this question 3 times in 3 different ways but I am hoping to get your creative mind going with ideas... Bottom line here ids you want to offer them something for clicking on your affiliate link and making you money. This may be a special secret report that nobody else offers on how to play farmville and get boat loads of cash in the game.

      * Create a twitter account and make and then add the app su.pr to your facebook account. Using su.pr you can make post to your facebook and twitter account at the same time and it gives you stats.

      * Take your Rss Feed from your blog (after you added more content) and add the feed to your facebook profile. There is an option to do this when you go to edit your profile. Adding this will auto add all your blog post to your wall and thus posting it to your friends wall.

This should be enough to get you started in the right direction...

First of all, thank you for your feedback. Keep the criticism coming!! Do you believe affiliate ebooks for Farmville ... could be profitable? And I'm also going to ask more questions... please keep the feedback coming. If by some fluke I achieve decent profitablity; I am buying everyone here drinks haha.

Is there a guide for "creating" an ad? Does a certain size work best? And would you use the official ads I have now... in any other location? Or only stick to generic ads?

The PDF guide is amazingly clever. I steered away from list building, since I didn't want to send out email ($20/mo ? pffft. I'm not rich) but I have no problem making my own guides and uploading them on my site.

How many pages do you think is sufficient ?

Should the PDF file have a link to the affiliate page, or my landing page? What works best?

Ok, so stress more about the benefits of the product that I'm trying to sell, correct? To make it sound like it adds more value? Am I reading what you're trying to tell me correctly?

See attached image.. I do not have time to make you an image but I am sure maybe some WF member around here may. What you are pushing is FarmVille so call it the same name as your site "FarmVille Online Guide" do not call it the domination thing.. The attached image is from FarmVille as a fan site you are perfectly allowed to use images unless otherwise said so.

You need to add the following if you are going to use images from Zynga

          "Copyright - © 09 farmvilleguideonline.com All Rights Reserved.
All other copyrights belong to their respective owners. Farmville is a copyrighted game that belongs to Zynga Network
          "

When I was an affiliate manager (yeah I got my hands in many things over the years and learned a great deal about many industries..lol) running several large networks I worked with many affiliates and trained them. My advice first and foremost has always been never use the actual product name if that product name is also a website. This is a sure fire way to lose many affiliate commissions.

Nothing wrong with that you should try to get your visitors to become freinds of yours on facebook...

Building a list is not for everyone no matter how many marketers say the money is in the list. This is not a true statement because not everybody can run and manage a list.. Do this only if you thing it is something you would enjoy doing.

1 - 3 Pages is perfectly fine, you do not want to give away all info but tease the readers into going to your site for more information.

The PDF should link to your blog and not the affiliate product, your purpose is to build awareness to your blog and not the affiliate product. Once they are on your site then they will see your ads.

Do not hype the product or anything.. be honest about it. But you also have other affiliates out there pushing this same product. So what do all those marketers do when they send out a email to their list for a new product launch ?? They offer a bonus of course, so offer a bonus..

"Buy the guide here and get $x discount" (discount is offered by them sending you the proof of purchase and you send them $x back to their paypal) or "But the guide here and get this brand new supliment to the guide for free, exclusively offered only on mydomain.com" ..

You can never run out of content .. Make a blog post a day explaining what you did on your farm today and post screenshots. Make blog post on special items famville has for a limited time and etc... Be creative!

Random off topic question --- everywhere I go, I read that the "GET RICH QUICK" ebook scams are easy to convert, or so they say in the guides I get... but I also hear that they're a dime a dozen. Do you have an opinion and promoting those kinda products?

What about if they purchase the product, I PayPal them some money, and they return the clickbank product? Wouldnt that net me negative dollars? Does that even happen? And if so, how do I prevent that from happening?

Again, this is great information. But if I keep updating my site; how do I keep my reviews and the products I'm promoting always visible? I don't want them to get "buried" ....

Stay away from get rich crap ... There is no such thing, it takes time and effort to build a business and make money. There is no magic pill and as such you do not want your name associated with such crap ebooks.

Only push products that you yourself have a belief in ....

It's the cost of doing business online, yes refunds do happen but as I said you could always give away an exclusive farmville guide. Personally if I was you I would create my own guide and sell it instead of the affiliate product.

You should have your ad on the side panel of your site so no matter what page they are on the ad is there.. Example notice where facebook ads are, on the right side on all pages...

            Oh. And one more thing.

Does this apply to the title of my post? ie, Review: Farm Domination Guide

? or does it apply to just the image/banner I'm using?

It applies to all text that has the product name.. The problem here is the product name is the same as the domain name, thus why you use a generic name.

I got your domain name wrong in my post above, sorry.. but if you would use FarmVille Help Online Guide then they have no excuse to go looking in google for it because they are already on farmvillhelponline.com

My blogs are all slightly different (and some of them in very different niches).

I'm not sure about exact numbers. Depends on which ones I count. Some of them are barely started and they don't really count. I've got about 5+ "real" ones.

And I rarely post an article on more than one, and when I do, I modify it somewhat usually.

I do link them when it makes sense, and put them in the blogroll section of each other, to a point.

I would try and have a report on how the game works and what is involved etc , I have seen ads on Facebook , learn what you can then write say 5-7 pages of what is the best way to farm get food etc, if you have an aweber use that for the report as a free give away that way you get the names and the start of a list and then later sell too

              Cheers

I have 8 main blogs that I update regularly and use twitter to interact with my followers when I have a new blog post.

I also have 23 autoblogs running which bring in regular income and am upscaling them each day - the old rinse, refine and repeat!

      For abednego

#1, you are going to need to start driving traffic, and I suggest you do it via facebook obviously but get some articles up on ezine, etc about the craze of the game etc.

Set up some other web 2.0 sites on it as well like squidoo and hub pages

There is something "off" on the way your blog is set up and where the product is located on the front page.

I really wish you had a sign up for a free guide or cheat sheet or something, because right now you are throwing away some traffic that may come your way.

Make sure you have some kind of traffic counter on that thing be it google analytics or sitemeter - you need to start tracking how people will find you.

That's all I got for now. Coffee has not kicked in yet.

I've found the quickest way to get on the first page of google is social bookmarking to several sites. Also add the feed to feedage, add your sitemap to google and set up google analytics.

I own at least 10 blogs in different niches on my own webspace and a Blogger and Wordpress blog.

Mostly I write my articles or thoughts straight to one of my blogs then add the suitable articles to my Wordpress article directory with my link in the sig. Then the articles get slightly altered and submitted to other directories or they go on one of my niche sites.

I only social bookmark the articles on one of my sites and where it's the most appropriate to my niche. I feel that social bookmarking all of the places an article ends up on is like spamming.

I update all of the blogs on my own space every 2 or 3 days. Most are supposed to be autoblogs but I set to add to draft because some of the content that comes in is crap.

I use Squidoo pages to compliment some of my blogs also.

            1) I outsource my content.
            2) I do not really actively promote my sites, instead
I target terms that are very easy to rank for ...

Especially when each site is on it's own domain.

I also use smart automation, nothing really black hat that
would get my sites in trouble. But rather tools that just
help me automate what I can.

The results are worth the effort.

            Best,

    Hey Gang,

Fun thread for sure, I really do not like the
word "blog", however I use wordpress to launch
    about 99% of my websites.

Right now I own about 674 domains, I have probably
about 300 sites launched and will be launching another
100 over the coming weeks (I work in batches).

I never interlink and sites and I really do not link build
too much, I prefer to target terms that are very easy
    to rank for.

    Best,

      Best,
Blimey I've been working in batches too - 2 at a time. 100 would be mindblowing I would get totally mixed up.

I do some link building but good SEO gets the most targeted traffic

I already did that. Both 2.0 sites and I also set up a Facebook Ad.... so far 850 impressions without any clicks though Have you ever personally advertised on Facebook?

I have about 29 visits / 39 pageviews as of now... half of that traffic has come from JUMPTAGS COM ....

Aweber is one option I looked into, but it seemed a little pricey... is there a free alternative, for a smaller scale...? At least until I start to make a couple sales?

How do you guys manage your blog? It's amazing to know that a lot of people here actually own more than 10 blogs. Wow!

I hope I can learn techniques here. I'm planning to start a new one but I don't really know the best way how to start it. Do I need to have my own webhosting and domain? Kinda mixed up in here. Also I wanted to know how to attract traffics. Thanks in advance!

I have 74 active blogs right now. All are auto blogs, built with WP Mage or WP Robot. I use Ninja Affiliate for my links, and WP Tweetbomb, and a few other plug-ins, for good measure.

Wordpress is very famous. But you can also use facebook or even myspace for blogging. What's more important is the content of your blog posts.

I only use blogger. Lol, maybe I should expand my horizons a bit eh? Haven't done much with it lately. But I found out a while back that you can actually ping your blogs for free on sites like pingoat. Like I said I haven't messed with blogging in a while, seems to difficult to get traffic. Maybe I'm just being dumb lol.

    I have only one blog..
You have seen linkwheel thats one of the concepts to increase SEO ranking of the website...
Its better to use different content on each of the propert mentioned in there..

PMG2712- You are right, the linkwheel concept does work better with unique content. But it doesn't have to be 100% unique. By taking one seed article and spinning it or giving it minor rewrites to about 50% unique we have gotten the same effectiveness.

This may help anyone building a linkwheel since it's faster and less expensive to re-write or spin content than to have unique content written.
