Has anyone had any success with get-paid-to-write revenue sharing sites?

Hello Everybody

I was just set out to look for some opportunities today, and was intrigued by the get-paid-to-write sites that run on the revenue sharing model. It's like not I've not seen a similar thing before, but it just happened to catch my attention for a longer while today.

So, I thought I'd ask you WF Veterans for some advice and/or your experiences with similar sites.

I would be grateful to anyone who could throw some light on stuff like this. It would be great if you could mention which site(s) you've worked with and their average paying rate. Also, if you could mention if they pay based on pageviews (CPM) or by Clicks (AdSense or other networks)... That info. would help a lot of us take an appropriate call, on whether to try this tihng out at all, and if yes, then which to try out.

Thanks, in advance

Are you talking about sites like hubpages and squidoo? You are much better off using these sites to promote affiliate products (and eventually your own). You will make much more money that way.

I LOVE Squidoo, however, it is painstakingly difficult to earn from them. (I have written over 80 lenses, with several Top lenses, over the last 2 years. One particular lens was ranked as high as #2, in the business category (perhaps one of the most competitive categories), for several months strait....)

errr....I agree with Sara....you are better off using hubpages and squidoo for affiliate product promotion....

but, for revenue share, no site in the industry can beat the 75-90% that Info Barrel offers (in fact, I consistently make 90% on Info Barrel...).....when I found Info Barrel, I tore all 150+ of my articles down off of eHow, and moved them there....

My friend just moved all 200+ of her articles.

Feel free to ask any more questions about any sites! I have researched MANY of these sites in depth....in fact, I share some of my research in the previous thread I had directed you to....

    theultimate,

HERE is a thread I had subscribed to and am following that you may find particularly interesting.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...-they-pay.html

The reason I subscribed to it was because eHow is essentially the for-runner in this industry, at least for now. This thread has since slipped off the front page, but I still think alot of great insight has been shared that you may find interesting....

Revenue sharing sites are good in some cases but if you do it your selves it wil be more advantageous.

    Also, the ultimate...

    as a general NOTE....

    Steer CLEAR of websites that:

    1) Offer you a Flat fee PER 1,000 views. (this revenue share is a complete rip off...especially since some companies will only pay a writer $1.50 or so per 1,000 views)
    2) A website that refuses to share the revenue percentage allocation it distributes to writers. Current sites that do this are Suite101, FireHow, and eHow.
