Free Private Video Hosting?

Can anyone recommend a server where one can upload his videos, yet make them private and can only be accessed through embedding on another websiste?

I guess what I'm after is a place where I can have my files stored without the fear of everybody going through them without authorization (as would happen with YT). I know YT has a private function, however if I remember correctly it only allows somewhere in the range of 25 views.

Any help on this one?

Who in their right mind would offer such a service?

If you want security you pay for it.

That being said, there may be somebody out there who
is either smart enough or dumb enough to believe they can
somehow not lose money offering free private video hosting
on a less restricted basis than YouTube, which is losing
close over 100 million dollars a year.

I believe only Viddler offers this feature with their business plan (starts at $100/mth).

Otherwise, start hosting them yourself using Wordpress by converting the movies to FLV using Riva and displaying them using the HANA FLV Player plugin.

Maybe someone who figures that if he offers great service and delivers, he would get people who have tons of videos to use his service?

I mean this is for a personal need so there is no need to have infinite amount of hosting, bandwidth etc.

For example, motion box offer kind of the service that I'm looking for (they are better than YT in my opinion), however they quickly run out of bandwidth or number of views- if I'm not mistaken.

$100/month? Hmm.. That's a bit pricey..

Yeah I think I'm going to host myself. With the baby plan hosting at hostgator, you are supposed to have unlimited space and bandwidth, however I still don't really know if unlimited really means unlimited.

After all it's a shared server..

Any other opinions?
