    Good question!
    1. Create a product such as an ebook and sell it
    2. Run a blog in a niche and run Google adsense ads on it and get paid when someone clicks on the ads
    3. Sell someone else's product and get a portion of the sale (see clickbank.com or other like it)
    4. Companies are hungry for sales leads so you could use your website to generate these leads. The company will then pay you per lead.
    5. Build your site up, design it for a niche, and sell it
    6. Start a membership site where people pay to join your website while you offer great information to them over time
    7. Rewrite a PLR book and sell it
    There are other ways, those are just what's on the top of my head.

    That's pretty much what this entire forum is about. There are many ways to make money with a website from flipping sites to PPC to bum marketing to article marketing. You've only got one post. Recommend you do a bit of reading.

    Monitize by adding:

    - clickbank affiliate products
    - amazon affiliate products
    - other affiliate products
    - google adsense ads
    - ad brite ads
    - other ad networks
    - get a paypal account and add "buy now" buttons selling reports, software, memberships, or anything else relating to the topic.
    - add your own affiliate program to your site. I use e-junkie for this but it's not the best, but it works with paypal.
