Here's a something I have seldom if ever seen mentioned. This will help affiliate marketers turbocharge their sales pages. It's a potent way to get material for your autoresponders and find bullet points for the squeeze page. That powerful technique is to... consume the product you're promoting and take notes.

Read the PDF cover to cover, watch the videos. Take notes the second you learn something interesting, or are reminded of something prospects might like to know.

If the product is any good at all and if you're not busy watching football or the kids while you study, you will almost certainly find some morsels the publisher overlooked in the original sales pages. The second you run accross these little nuggets, write them down.

In fact, don't start reading until you have a way to take notes. Some people like that legal pad, but I recommend using an editing program so you don't lose you work when a kid spills juice all over the table.

I always keep Google Documents and Sumatra PDF (faster than Adobe or FoxIt) open together, even on my 13" latpop. Sometimes I use ALT+Tab (Command+Tab on a Mac) to switch from editor to PDF reader. Likewise when watching the video.

I am often surprised at how many juicy features the publisher has skipped in the sales materials. That leaves me with the unique ability to add things like "Sure your WordPress SEO plugin is still being supported? Find out why the one everyone uses is now pathetically out of date--and what's replaced it (p. 121)." These same bullet points can be used in articles, FAQs, and autoresponders to great effect.
