Should i install wordpress to subdomain or root

Hey i was wondering that what is the right way to install word press. like it should be installed in public_html/subdomain and then redirect it to main domain or directly to the root. I was wondering that does installing it subdomain and then redirecting may affect google ranking.

As far as I know, no.

You can install WP at root and in the case where you want to show a static page at your domain, simply set a static page as your homepage in WP options. In this case, the blog will be at /blog.

Example (one of my client's sites). Here I am using WP at / and you can see that blog posts appear at /blog.

No need to redirect anything.

Just install it in the root directory.
