    your questions are simple.

There will always be a place for Internet Marketers for as long as there are businesses on the Internet. It's a marketing haven that is taking a dynamic that forces business practices to improve. Overtime, many models will simply not prove to be sustainable models. Like affiliate marketing, that's like getting a sales job. Once you quit, your income stops. Running a local IM agency isn't like a job. Once you quit (exit), you sell your business and get a nice equity boost.

There will be a lot of change in 2010. You'll continually see change on the technical side of IM, the do's and don'ts. I doubt much is going to change in the fundamentals and principals of IM. IM is merely an extension of traditional marketing, simply using a different medium to convey a message to a targetted audience.

I think the biggest change is that larger corporations will use more and more marketing techniques online. We have already seen the beginning of corporations and celebrity taking over social media.

That and of course competition all around will get more fierce, just by shear numbers.

Yes it will survive. Expect more competition, more newbies, more WSO and more tips and tricks. I do think that there is some diversion from adsense now. People are interested in affiliate market these days(or maybe it's just me).

I think for IM to succeed in 2010, you will have to develop a solid original product, tie a membership site to it for backend profits, and keep "feeding" your following with great products and content, eventually working up to live events and higher ticket items and solidifying your "brand." In the end, it all comes down to branding.

Fundementals of marketing online will still hold true based on offline tactics that have endured for decades.

I'm being simplistic here but you have to pay attention and strategize your sales funnel.

My overall goal (for 2010) is to build my list, big time....

I think things are going to more or less remain the same. I'm curious about google caffeine but I don't think it's going to be "ground-breaking". I imagine that Yahoo is going to lose more market share and bing will keep moving up. Maybe if we are lucky we will all get a new trick or 2 out of 2010.

The internet have been evolving since the 60's and will continue to do so with new and advanced technologies. Has nothing to do with internet marketers but the internet entirely...

Will these new and advanced technologies effect internet marketing ? Well of course it will and it always has.. This is why we learn to adapt and move on with new strategies using this technology.. With that being said though the same tactics that worked 10 years ago still work today.

Believe it or not, I still think we are in the "wild west" of the internet. NOW is the time to get in there and get your feet planted, before the dust settles and it becomes a lot harder.

Sometimes I think about how I wish I would have started doing this so much sooner, but then I think about all of the opportunities out there right now.

New names will surface as some well known 'gurus' exit the stage, making room for greater opportunities. New innovation is always abounding, which stimulates ideas for others to create new technologies, and more uses for existing technologies.

2010 will be an exciting year from my perspective.

Internet marketing hasn't really changed over the past decade, with the exception of that there are more businesses online and more ways to get your message out to people now then there were at the dawn of the 2000's. So I agree with the above poster who said that the communication channels may evolve and multiply, but the fundamentals will still stay the same.

Mike Filsaime I heard is leaving the Guru business.

as you know there is so much crap with offers like make money with google offers...

or get free money from the government...

these poor quality offers or internet scams have gotten ftc into the picture...

who have started investigations into genuine people selling

Real products that can make money... if you really follow it..

    Butterfly Marketing .... for example...

He is going to be leaving guru business model for "services" business model

Hottest services are going to be... where people are begging NOT to
discontinue your service.... like webhosting for example...

I think nothing will change besides for the effectiveness of certain techniques.

But overall, I think there will be just as many opportunities to make money online as there was back in 2000.

Everyones thoughts, especially newbies, are probably 'man its too late to get into the make money online game' or 'this year is the last year that will be easy', but this mindset has probably existed since the earlier 2000s.

It's not really about the competition, but what you make of it.
