Why do people think that IM is v easy

YOu know warriors when my friend and cousins see that i sit online all day long and i tell them that i earned ....$$. They instantly reply with something like Cmon tell me even i can sit 1 or two hours on computer and make some money like you (As if making money online is so easy) but when i start telling them how to do they just stop showing interest and after some time i feel stupid for telling them the stuff.

They think that anybody can make money sitting on computer. Most People just want money but the moment they hear about the hard work involved they run away. (AMAZING WORLD)

It's all about details. The more details you show to people more will quit from IM. Less steps and details you show, they'll jump to that method. This is what i learned from IM so far.

You have already answered the question It isn't just sitting in front of the computer all day.

When you tell people you make money online some people assume you are just doing all the same things they are. Surfing websites, answering emails and piddling around. Now, those of us in the IM certainly do all those things. It's that extra stuff that we do that is mystifying to people.

The big secret is that most careers only need a small percentage of knowledge. You only use so much specific knowledge to do any job. Now, most careers need an academic or other type background to get your foot in the door as well... but in actuality you only need the tiny bit of information to do your everyday job. For those of you who have made money in other careers, you know exactly what I am talking about.

Internet marketing is no different. It's just a matter of learning that little bit of information and putting it to good use.

It may be hard work but it still beats going to work 9 - 5 pm don't you think?
      It's great fun too!

not really. at least, for most people, it does not beat the regular work.

95% (if not more) IM money were earned by top 2% IM marketers. The fact is most IM person can not earn enough money to quit daily job.

When someone new comes to the internet, it is very rare that they succeed right away and make a ton of money. The fact of the matter is that it takes time to build a profitable business on the web.

Some people, it takes them 6 months to really do well and get to the point where they can quit their jobs, and others like me, it can take them 5-6 years to figure things out.

Yes, it took me that long but it does not have to take this long for you too.

Just know that you will not make a full time income in your first few months and if you persist, find a good mentor, and take massive action, you will do well.

I think it's a pretty normal reaction actually. If I was told I would just have to sit in front of a computer for a couple of hours and make money I would gladly do it (and want to know how others are doing it). But as I find out more and more work is needed in that same two hours I start to wonder if doing it is worth it. Everything is relative lol.

Like Mr. Goof Off said, your cousins just saw the surface of you sitting and making money... not all the work that went behind it

I have gotten to the point where I just don't tell anybody. Last person looked at me with a dumb founded face, that's the point when I realized I was speaking a hole new language to them. So I just say I'm a lazy bum, that usually ends the conversation.

I'll tell them briefly but as soon as they say "get a normal job" this is where I stop! I'm so done with the convincing, me and my mate had a fat argument about this whos right (which I am).

That fact is, if you don't have knowledge of terms, processes, what is what you're never gonna undestand enough to take action properly. Some will blindly take action (the fire, aim approach) and these guys are the lucky ones.

It's very simple why everyone thinks IM is easy.

Just look at all the IM product sales pages that tell you that you can make $10,000 a day by just clicking a few buttons in your pajamas.

I think that when they're faced with the abstract concept of making money on the internet they tend to overlook how tedious, monotonous, arduous and also unpredictable it can be. They automatically assume it is like any regular JOB where they just sit in front of the computer and make X amount of dollars per hour regardless of what they do - this is the common fallacy that most people have about internet marketing, from my experience talking and interacting with many people online and offline.

They don't realize that internet marketing is real work, and it's not just sitting in front of the computer browsing leisurely through enjoyable sites and/or chatting. It often involves doing tasks you DON'T like, including writing articles, figuring out website issues, technical issues that seem almost impossible to fix sometimes, and also dealing with unpleasant customers and unpredictable sales fluctuations. When you add all that in the mix, it is any wonder that only a small percentage of marketers actually make it? It takes a lot of dedication and strength of character to succeed in IM, in my opinion.

It's all about a step by step process. There are certainly skills people must learn but once you have learned them and implemented them, rinse and repeat!

The key is finding that "mentor" that honestly wants to help you build your business.

I love that my mentor has only been at this for less than 2 years and genuinely makes 5 figures a month( and growing) now. It is less intimidating knowing that he hasnt spent years at this.

Well, I think the problem with most people is that they don't want to invest some money. They think "well, 200$ or so just to get my website designed and running" is too much risk.

And when they realize they have to spend money to get traffic, they won't continue.

Almost everybody thinks "well, I get free webspace, design the whole product and website all by myself and get rich in one month"

    Regards,
    Bastian
