Hi, I feel that I'm not yet breaking through, I have been trying to sell for almost a month now. I would like to humbly ask the "old" guys in this forum. Please help. Right now the biggest blog that I'm dependent on is : Business Tools Depot I am just selling a single item. Please review my site if its ok and tell me what I'm doing wrong/what I should be doing. I really want to capture the selling mentallity and I know that if those people here who are seasoned marketers will review my site and lend me their thoughts I will be able to make it. Please. ~RapidScc |

I just scanned the blog and couldn't find one active link within the content. If you're relying on a blog to sell, bear in mind that visitors are going to be reading the content. If the content is interesting and people want to know more - a relevant link to a product should earn you sales. |

A month is absolutely nothing! If you're serious, then I would suggest that it's likely to be more significant and beneficial, in the long run, to change your mindset and expectations than to change your websites. Really. Quote:

First of all, lose the idea that you can do something new for just a month and make a ton of money. "Internet Marketing" is just a venue for old-fashioned salesmanship. You still have to learn the ropes and make your mistakes. Be willing to invest your time in learning how to use the Internet to promote your business. Stop thinking that you can just put up a bunch of relatively unfocused content, with no keyword optimization, and then you'll make money. You won't. I've taken a peek at your blog. If the "skyscraper" ad for webceo is the ONLY product you are promoting, you need to move that ad up to the top of the page. Right now, there's little chance folks will see it. It's languishing down at the bottom of the page... |

You've got a blog with a whole lot of blah, blah, blah on it and nothing that I see you're actually trying to sell. I see no opt in form to get subscribers, nothing being given away. There's nothing in it for anybody. Get a hold of Travis Sago's Bum Marketing book. It's free. Start there. |

Ok, am not one of the old guys, but I,ve just look through your articles and it seems your English is a bit wooden, you might want to outsource your articles if your marketing to the UK and US. Just my opinion, Regards paul |

You've got the start of some useful content there. The writing and the page needs more personality. You could start by adding some images, perhaps embed some YouTube Video. And inside each blog post or at the end of each blog post you may want to recommend a product or lead in information for a product that you're selling. Kindest regards, Andrew Cavanagh |

I have to totally agree with Paul... I think your language, grammar projection is very stale and at times a little 'broken'. If you can brush up on your delivery in your text, that might help - just my 2 cents worth... Mark

Hi Rapid, take on board the things that the rest of the guys have said, particularly concerning your blog. The other (diet) site is quite pretty and looks "professionally" designed and so will generate an element of trust in the minds of your visitors. However, it is so obviously set up for clicks on the adsense block and there is nothing else to it. Yes, you have some content on there but if you want to make some decent money with it find some diet products to talk about, review and recommend. Maybe start with diet related ebooks from clickbank, or google "diet product affiliate programs." Sign up for the programs, aggregate existing reviews into your own personal take on them, post these on your site, and for gods sake, remember to include an affiliate link to the product sales pages! If you've only been at it for a month then I would suggest that you get hold of a really great report called "The Conduit Method" by a top, top fellow warrior called Chris Rempel. In it he details a wonderfully simple yet contemporary and effective take on affiliate marketing and it can be purchased for about $20 here; VIP Confessions - The Conduit Method Or it can be accessed via the "War Room" right here on the forum. I would advise getting here and paying to join the private forum as there is so much unbelievable value there. It can be found via the thread; "The Simplest Way to Make $100,000+ as an Affiliate" Don't try to get all fancy, or reinvent the wheel. Just follow Chris' method. I wish you every success, but remember you have to speculate to accumulate. Thomas |

In my humble opinion, a person should NEVER speculate when it comes to IM-ing... I believe personally, and from what I have been taught by some experts and successful marketers......is that you should go by what is FACT and the DATA you see out there, if you start to 'presume', 'assume' and 'speculate', you might end up in a world of trouble. It's been drilled into me, that one should always go by what is true hard facts from your research and data results, because mere speculation may lead you down a very worrisome road. Mark

Hi Mark, I simply meant that after one month in the business, he may need to spend a little money on some training, which you clearly state is valuable. I couldn't agree more with the rest of your post, however. Thomas |

I appreciate your thoughts and I wasn't in any way trying to stir the pot, so to speak, but just didn't want the OP to misinterpret the word - 'speculate' in his particular case. Thanks for your reply ![]() Mark

One month is really no time! I've been at this now about 10/11 months and I still don't feel as though I've cracked it i.e. I don't have a regular income from which I can give up my day job. Am I making sales now, you bet am I! Did I make sales one month in, NO! There are folks here who made good money from the get go, I'm not one of them. Am I frustrated that it's taking me longer, YES! Am I slogging my guts out to rectify that, YES! You need to learn the business. Listen to the "old guys" and take note and take action! Mr Wagenheim is a great one to listen to by the way! Good luck! |
