How to effectively use opt ins?

Hello everyone, I'm going to keep this short and sweet.

What do you think the best way to drive traffic to an opt in is? Article marketing & SEO?

Also, do you write out full email campaigns for each opt in?

I am all for article marketing on this one. You get a ton of very targeted opt ins this way and of course I write full email campaigns for each opt in

    Any which way you can.

Article marketing, video marketing, (and perhaps a link in your signature)

    blogging, etc.

If you can write up a few messages in advance it definitely saves on time in the back end.

Also, Troy has a nice little post about using a giveaway vs offering something like a mini course.

I send almost all of my traffic to a capture page .

Different capture pages for different traffic sources . This is my model for Most Im related products .

1st test ... Bait Product goes to my list . No opt in... just for opinions . Yes I have changed a lot of things because of their input .

    Then...

    1000 visitors from Traffic exchange

1000 visitors from an ad exchange

2500 visitors from a credit based safe list .

Yeah .. I know .. The pros on here will tell you this is a waste of time . There is no way I know something that they do not :-) . Think I will just keep on being dumb on this one.

    Then....

Blog comments , forum sigs , Twitter

    Then ....

    article marketing

    Then...

    Content marketing

    Then...

    PPV

    Finally

    PPC

It has to work through all stages .

Never get too personal with any product or campaign. Sometimes a gem of an idea only sparkles in the mind of the creator .

Sometimes you need to apply the ruby in a goat's butt scenario .

You can polish that ruby till it gleams . Rub the ruby until it is completely flawless. At the end of the day ... this ruby is still in a goat's butt.
