[List-Building] What Is Your Christmas Gift to Your Subscribers?

Hi guys,

Every year I will give something really special to my subscribers during Christmas. Last year, when my list is still tiny, I have them a 20 minutes consultation via Skype. This year I gave out personal email consultation.

This is a great opportunity for me to bond with your subscribers and understand their obligations and needs. Take this opportunity to know what they want...and know what to sell them if I am are going to sell them something.

Did you give any Christmas gift to your subscribers? If so, what are they?

Cheers,
-Desmond

When someone gives their time, that is a real gift that has value. Our time is a real commodity that is very limited, and is hard to put a value on it. If you give an eBook, while that may have a perceived value, because you usually sell it for a determined amount, it reaally costs you nothing because there are actually an unlimited amount of them on your hard drive or server.

Well, I decided to give out free email consultation because I can directly answer to my subscribers' doubts.

This is by far the greatest gift that I am giving to my subscribers.

I am rather pissed off that some marketers use this opportunity to hardsell their subscribers. I think that's a big NO-NO for me.

That's a really cool gift, however it depends just how big your list is to be able to do that, but its still a fantastic bonding thing, im sure you will be repaid a 1000 times.

That's something that would benefit subscribers if you feel you
can help them and you have the time. But email consultation
really isn't practical if you have a large list, otherwise you'll
be doing email consultations till next Christmas. Even if your
list is only 100 subscribers and they all take up your offer of
consultation it will mean you'll be doing a hell of a lot of work
    for no pay.

A good alternative would be to get your subscribers to email
you their top question. You go through them and pick out the
best 20 questions, answer them, compile them into an ebook
and give it to your subscribers.

There are so many benefits to doing something like this.

    Will

P.S. hope everyone has a good Christmas tomorrow!

      Yes Will, I get you.

I got over 400+ emails in just 12 hours. (I assume some people in my list are not checking my emails because of holidays and Christmas)

      And guess what...?

I took exactly a few hours to email EACH and EVERY of them personally. (Together with my assistant)

YES, I know it's a painful process...but I think I should award my subscribers with something awesome for Christmas. After all, it's just once a year.

      Cheers

I received a bunch of "Sales Pitches" and "Bonus Discounts That Still Require A Purchase" in my email stocking this year as holiday gifts.

I decided to give back and hand out a bunch of free unsubscribes.

This year a wrote an ebook about traffic generation to give them. I had a couple other things in mind as well, but ran out of time. Perhaps I can have them ready for New Years.
