StatPress is awesome, but depending on how much data you store, your MySql table can get huge.

I'll have to check that out.

Anyone have any info on SlimStat?

Hey, have not used that yet, but StatPress is what I like. But as mentioned above it can get a bit intensive on your mysql database if you have tons of traffic (which would be a great position to be in :-)

I tried Wordpress.com Stats recently and it looks good.

I also use Wassup on few blogs.

Signup to StatCounter Free invisible Web tracker, Hit counter and Web stats

Download their plugin and view all your sites from one location. The reports are much better than statpress.

I know this may sound silly, but I am satisfied to use Awstats from cpanel

I agree with you, since I found out about awstat in cpanel I rely on it every time. You can find the most updated stats about your blog and I love the search keyword phrases feature of it too.

RE AW stats. I always wonder if some of the 'people' visiting are bots as I always get a much greater total in AW than in Google analytics.

Stay away from statpress as it is not that accurate and also load SQL slowing down your site

Google it, you'll see that StatPress decreases site performance, site loads very slowly which may affect SERPs

    Oh Dear!

I actually use StatPress for a few of my sites... looks like I might need to look at some alternatives now!

Whatever happened to using Google Analytics for the stat's?

I also use AW Stats on the cpanel as I find it has accurate and up to date stats.

Google Analytics is sometimes not as acurate and misses page views and visitors.

AW Stats is the best since it has advanced graphical web, ftp or mail statistics with a log file analysis.

I use statpress for all my blogs. There are a few 'forks' of it though, most of them have more extended options and statistics display. Try Statpress reloaded.

This suggestion is more than a plugin, but check out PIWIK and the WP plugin WP-Piwik. The combo works great and you receive Google Analytics type info.

    Thanks,

AW Stats. Google Analytics isn't very accurate.

Why isn't google analytics accurate? How have people come up with this?
Sure, it doesn't show everything that awstats does, but awstats has a lot of crap. Analytics is a lot better for bigger sites IMHO, as you can use it better for analyzing your data etc.
