One year to the day of my first affiliate sale (Proof Thread Included)

Last year, on this day (just a couple of hours from now) I made my first affiliate sale. It came from some articles I submitted to EZA, pointed to my blog.

Here is the thread OI posted after I got the sale

I always like showing proof

So, what happened since then? Well that sale eventually turned into a refund, which really depressed me. Ilept pushing CB products for a couple of months, but I was working my butt off writing, and getting very few conversions. I swear CB was screwing me. After four straight weeks of 0 sales from them, I pulled the plug.

I turned my focus to keywords and SEO. I had a good niche research base from my dealings with CB. But, I turned to physical products. When I started having success, I took the steps that made me successful, and created guides out of them.

I have had success and failure, but this has been a great year. I am no super affiliate, but I had a lot of small successes that will turn into huge successes next year.

Stay focused and find something that works. Dont run around chasing every fad, until you have proven by action that your current method isnt working.

Be faithful, treat this like a business, quit worrying about instant money. Instead, work on building a business that will produce income for years to come.

Good Luck!

You know I have to laugh everytime that someone is looking for some sign that this whole online business works and then see a post the next day of someone that just create a simple plan and then spun it out a bit. I would bet that doing what Charles does in 1 hour would take me at least a day but practice practice practice what you need to do and it will lead to those processes making you a success.

Last year I had decent growth nad then this year I pulled myself in at least 10 directions and my growth slowed down a lot. Maybe just going back to a single plan like article writing for real or conduit review sites (more than one a month) would be a better way to spend time online.

I could write a long post about this but I really think that we have too many options with the gurus getting serious with 3 or 4 new ones every year and the scattered approach is never a successful one.

Thanks for the bit of motivation Charles!
