You now have to determine how you want to drive traffic to the site! Do you have any general ideas about how you want to generate traffic? Having a site and product is great, but without traffic you aren't going to see any sales...

Did you test affililate products before you made yours? If your asking this, it's worrying but now you will have to drive traffic to them pages, also find affiliates for your product.

Ok so I am assuming you drove enough sales and drove enough traffic to that affiliate product. Now you just do the same and drive traffic to yours instead of your affiliates. Also contact your sites you are competing with, tell them, look I got a product, I reckon it can offer your users great advice etc... Also look for affiliates / jv's

so you contact the people that your product is exactly the same as theirs with minimal difference?

=/ I'll end this here... Whats the point in creating something which is exactly the same?

butters im not saying its plagiarism word for word...

but there is alot of content out there and you are not the first one in the niche if it is a lucrative one...

there is only so much that can be said about a niche, how are you going to come up with with something new that hasn't been said already?

you add personality to it, but the content is the same, you regurgitate it in a different way

I don't care, its up to you what you do but for me, all you have done is bought an ebook copied it and changed a few words. Your wrong, a lot can be changed in a niche if you actually know the niche, if you knew your niche well then you would know how to write a good ebook and not copy anyone.

                    this is an interesting subject

marketing information products has been going on for a long time, i dont think you are going to say anything new... you might say it in a different way but you are not going to come with something brand new to easy...

now im not saying it is impossible, but its very hard to find something new these days, and the time and effort it would take to research is not profitable in my eyes

@butters - definitely, did you do any research to see if your product is in a popular niche and/or has many targeted searches? I see this mistake made by newbies all the time. The saying "build it and they will come" definitely does not apply here! If you build something no one is looking for, you're really going to have a hard time selling your stuff online.

Thats completely different from product research... I am no expert on this but from the stuff I read these are the things you should know.

        - Is your market looking for your product
        - Is there already products in your market, if so, how many
        - Are any of them running affiliate programs, if so, what one converts best. (This is where you run PPC etc to find out which one is best.)
        - How much traffic am I able to send that affiliate every day
        - How well is the traffic am I sending converting
        - What is the conversion rate of the affiliates product
        - How much money is this making me per month
        - Is it worth it
