You need to find a niche that has hungry buyers.

Once you found your niche put up a squeeze page and offer something of value that will cure or alleviate a problem in that niche.

In exchange for this ask for their email address.

A simple way to promote your website is:

Finding forums in your niche that offer signature links just like this one.

    So in summary...

Find your niche first, put up your website with the email opt-in and then learn how to drive traffic to your site.

    Hope this helps.

    Garry.

If you want to build your list fast, hook up with relevant and good JV partners. And get them to promote your offer. The leverage a good JV partner can offer you is truly tremendous.

But you have to get all your fundamentals in place first. That means, you must put in effort to form a relationship, create good products that will add massive value and also provide a strong monetary incentive (high commission).

Combing a script like Rapid Action Profits (by Sid Hale) together with 100% commission will be a great way to start.

First thing you need is a autoresponder I recommend Aweber or Getresponse, I am actually going to switch over to Aweber since they are a little more user friendly.

Next you need to have something to offer your "future" customer, a ebook, course, video , report ect..

You want something to give to entice them to give you there name and email. You need to create a squeeze page with your offer and really should create 2 of them and test them both to see what one converts better, then apply tweaks and constantly keep tracking and tweaking for better conversions.

Use google analytics on your squeezpages to track your stats.

If you do not know how to create a squeeze page you can hire a fellow warrior to have it done here Warriors For Hire or you can outsource it at guru.com or getafreelancer.com or others.

you then want to have follow up emails so you can build a good relationship with your list and send out your offers, once you have built a good size responsive list you be able to literally print out money on demand with a single email.

You also want to have to lists one of buyers in that niche and one of the freebies, this will allow you to send out to the proven buyers list that will most likely buy from you again.

To get everything up and running you will need a good hosting company I use hostgator and recommend them, I pay $14.95 a month for the business package but all you need is the baby which is like $9.95 and allows you to host unlimited domains.

        WTF is "list launderer?"

        Ok,

        EASY. 7 steps.

        1.Select a Niche
2.Put up your website or blog
        3. Research your NICHE and find out what problems they have and what answers they are looking for.
        4. Put some of those answers together in an informative report.
        5. Load the report up to your site for download
        6. Set up an autoresponder like aweber, and put the opt-in on your website. Make sure you have it on a mini squeeze page, or with a headline that people KNOW what they are signing up to receive.
        7. When they sign up, they will need to confirm, and then click a link in their email that will bring them to instantly download that free report that will help them with a problem.

You will need to drive traffic to your site to keep things going.

Wow ... can't beleive yall would hurt an old hillbillies feelings lol .

I apologize for the eye strain. This was just a place holder until the first of the year . I was using it to be able to get some articles a landing page . You have to have a landing to get the url at some directories .

It was all part of the default template I threw up . Never had actually looked at the page online . Yeah ... I should have . Gave me a headache also.

Not that it is a lot better .... I have changes the appearance a little .

The links are mostly dead but I have put up a form and the information is pretty relevant to those wanting to build a list .

I would suggest not putting anything live unless you want everyone to see it .

Sorry again to those I blinded .

I am newbie here..but as i have been in Digital point for a while...I got a place which you can give your hot Niche for free(freebie part) and then ask them to put their names and emails in that site.. also in this forum also you could make a Free WSO to gain list.

another way to make a huge list...as i made one in that part is using Jv giveaway product sites and mostly as the Christmas comes go to christmas giveaway sites and put your niche product there...and if you are active there you will get huge traffic and huge names and emails after and after...just by these site...be sure.
    take action now.

That statement is not quite true James my friend,

It depends on the giveaway and it depends on your method of marketing to the list(herd) I disgaree wholeheartedly that they will just be a freebie list they are people and people always have needs you can begin to seperate your list as they prove to be buying customers this is the ideal list a responsive one. but it is not a totally true statement they will just expect everything for free. if that was the case no one would do it that way at all. it would be pointless.

JV Giveaway have went downhill and I have not seen one in the last 2 or 3 years that was a real jv giveaway.. They have rehashed junk, resell rights junk, plr junk, all of which has been given away a million times.

I tested many of the new jv's not long ago and even paid for upgrades to test.. Not very pleased with the results. I offered a brand new exclusive product on each one that I created.

Most that get on your list are freebie seekers... To me there are much better ways to build a list and a targeted list at that..

Well I agree they have gone downhill as far as I can tell in fact some of thm yielded no subscribers however. it is not that they produce freebie clients that is my point. people are people but if you offer something of great value to your subscribers you will see sales. however you need to prove that your people on the list can trust you so. I agree with the perspective you put out here above but it is not too accurate to say it is useless inevitably it comes down to your salesmanship and the responsiveness of the list to that.

              I make $80,000 to $170,000 when I promote a product to my e-mail list of 5,000 people.

10 to 15% of people convert into sales on promotions.

The secret to making money from e-mail lists is QUALITY not QUANTITY.

Most people are fooled by the guru's into thinking they can set up an opt-in page and give away some free report, and they get a nasty surprise when they find under 0.5% of people actually buy anything from their list after all the hard work accumulating thousands of subscribers and all they make is a measly few hundred dollars for their efforts.

It is NOT the way to build quality lists, it doesn't work unless you are prepared to spend 3 or 4 years building up a list of 50,000 to 100,000 and are happy with under 1% buyers.

And when you have created a quality list there are many things which determine how responsive it is, if you are promoting a product every week the list will burn out.

Don't contact them for too long and they will forget who you are.

So yes if you build a quality e-mail list it is the golden goose, but it isn't as easy as it is made out and you need to know what you are doing if you want to make the big bucks.

I must be very naive... I thought the WSO (read: Warrior Special Offer, as in you are offering something special for the warriors ) was to benefit the WF members. Special pricing, for example.

Now every second new member is coming here and in the best "blind leading the blind"-manner giving each other advice about how to abuse the WSO and WF.

        I agree with Istvan,

What the heck.A wso is just that warior special offer a lower priced item then would normally retail. WSO's seem to be getting abused by a ton of people from saying all you need to do is run a wso to wso's are very profitable I for one get a little miffed when i see people trying to take advantage of the wso forum and even though it costs 20.00 to post free or not the fact is people that buy need to be respected and not referred to as the ultimate way out so to speak.

People need to use their own imagination in developing a list there is a TON of teachings available and even though people may not like troy's site He is an expert at it and freely offers coaching to anyone. With over 10 yrs exerpience I think he may know what he is talking about.

How do you build a list? well I will tell you what I teach any student. Go and join some giveaways offer a good product for free and your list will be built. getting them on is not the problem keeping them on is up to you. Giveaways are a dime a dozen google them get involved in one and build up from there.

    Hi Anndox,

If you just follow the basic rule of economics, i.e. Supply & Demand, people are looking for something, you have the solution to their problems and you give it to them. Just like all the others have stated though, it is not as simple as shoving your product in their faces, you have to build a relationship with people and this is done in several ways:

Get on the social networking sites and start building relationships
Use forums to find out the questions people are asking and if you can supply the answers to them
Most important of all, under promise and over deliver. Give something of value to people for FREE, this is the KEY to getting them to opt-in to your site.
Once they have done this, continue to nurture your list and find out what they are actually wanting and needing
Once you do this, you subtly start to sell your products, and continue to upsell to your list.

The main thing is to get them on the list in the first place so start using social networking, blogging, squidoo, hub pages etc promoting your FREE gifts followed by your website.

Hope this helps you at least a wee bit.

    Good luck for now

    Trish

It sounds to me that you need to get a few more priorities in place first.
You want to build a list but you cannot build or upload a squeeze page!

If you cannot master a squeeze page then how do you build your site(s)?
If you do not have a site what are your plans for your subscribers?

Can you be more specific as to what your plans are, because the way I see it is you need to go back to the beginning and set yourself up to the point where you are able and ready to build and maintain a mailing list.

Do not run before you can walk. (friendly advice)
    Good luck

I found a script that allows me to put a slide up opt -in form on any web site. I have it hosted on my site. I am using it on a free report. I began building this list less than 48 hours ago and I have 5 on it now.

What are some other places one might utilize this script?

Well you can start with the basics...

A sign-up form, an offer, and traffic.

It won't be built quickly but if you can throw
in a lot of traffic and an irresistible offer,
    people might just sign-up..

I do believe that whilst the bigger the number the better, the relationship that you have with your list is the most important aspect.

I would definitely prefer a list of 100 people who are raving fans about my product than a list of a 300 people that I've just send a couple of autoresponder emails and have had no real contact with.

You should probably take a list building course that has a responsive support team. That way you can learn what they have to teach but you can ask questions about the process if you get stuck.

Try to use some unique software to track your potential vistors or attract them to sign up in your website. Those who have signed up are all targeted customers and deserve you to spend time and energy on them. Then you will have your subscriber list.Of course, this is the first step.Still you need to try other ways to develop your list such as joining in related forum. If your business is not very big,it's wise for you to build your list manually first.
