Cool Marketing Idea? Cartoon licensing

Hello,

I am selling cartoons and was trying to figure out the best way to setup the product licensing restrictions.

My one idea is to make it a mandatory part of the customer's license to include my copyright and website name on all cartoon images, and the copyright cannot be removed.

This way my domain name is spread wide by people buying my cartoons and placing in their publications.

Is this a common licensing approach and do people mind using images with other people's copyright on them?

Any feedback appreciated.

    If domain name is short then it'll work for sure. I have seen russelsteapot cartoons on some products. So yes, licensing for product will work.

    Also take a look at songbird service they are also doing the same that you're asking i.e. renting artist work for books(Not sure if songbird is right for you).
