hi,

is there anybody selling any type of software (other than TweetMyBlog) or application that can best use Twitter as a means of making money, as opposed to just mindlessly adding random members to one's Twitter base?

I wonder who told you that "Twitter" helps you make money...

This is a friendly, cool and innovative tool that lets you stay in contact with friends and people all over the world.

I'm sick & tired when shady marketers, Gurus and wannabe affiliates want to take advantage of these social networking services and exploit them for their own interest.

It's a shame.

Making money online is not about "selling", or "promoting". It's all about making friends with people first and later on about sharing with them your story, your real problems, your solutions - something that they're looking for (eagerly).

Making money online is not about "selling", or "promoting". It's all about making friends with people first and later on about sharing with them your story, your real problems, your solutions - something that they're looking for (eagerly).

I know Big Mike is developing some software specifically for internet marketers using Twitter.

There is nothing wrong with using Twitter to expand your business base, as long as you're not spamming people. I follow a bunch of internet marketers; why do you think they're on Twitter? To network with other marketers and to make money.

Obviously you have to be subtle, you have to be social, you can't just go on Twitter and start Tweeting nonstop about your business. But I get most of my best writing clients from Twitter these days; it's a fantastic networking tool.

Speaking of Twitter, for those of you who submit regularly to EZA, they have an integration feature that automatically Tweets your newly approved articles. Pretty cool. Just log in to your EZA account and it's under the Edit Author Bio field.

We've got a pretty cool desktop app that is pretty much rolls all the different applications we've seen together along with quite a few of our own innovations for it.

We're going to give it away for free.

It's around 70% complete and we expect it will be wrapped up towards the weekend. Incidentally, it uses Twitter's API, which actually does provide a pretty good interface for applications (desktop and web).

As John just mentioned with EZA, Twitter is definitely becoming popular and supported by third party services more and more.

As long as you don't abuse it, it's a valid marketing tool as far as I'm concerned. Bear in mind you control whose tweets and direct messages you see, so if you're getting spammed you can easily stop following ot block those individuals.

List how long it's been since I started following them.

I think I got an e-mail from Filsaime yesterday talking about an application that does this... I forget what it's called - I wasn't too interested in black hat Twitterage. I think it was called Google something, typical title of those "shoot-to-the-top-and-quickly-fall-back-down" CB products you see every other week, lol.
