Ok im CONFUSED, Are there 2 different types of affiliate? Enlighten me

1 type of affiliate, who promotes your products on their blogg, ppc, ect. on going basis if you have a click bank product or whatever.

2nd type of affilliate who has a list , who can help you with your product launches, sell bunch of products at once on a specific date.


Type A affiliate Doest like Opt in squeeze pages. Likes a Good sales letter that convert right after they see it.

Type B affiliate Sends people to an opt in page.gives away money magnets, people opt in and few days later the product owner launches the product to the list, and sales get track backed to the affiliate who sent the lead.


THis is what i understand from watching Masscontrol by frank kern

So there is a way for an affiliate who sends people to OPT IN pAGE, get sales tracked, even if they dont buy right after they opt in.

am i wrong here?

can some one please explain?

    Yes.. I see what you mean.

    But if i'm not mistaken.. if you have somebody selling your product and helping you at the same time. That is a Joint Venture not Affiliates.

    Were you trying to say:
    1 - People that send traffic to an offer.
    2 - People that send traffic to a opt-in page.. and than send traffic to an offer!?

    That would make way more sense to me.

    Main thing im trying to understand is whether there is a way to send traffic to an opt in page, and be able to track the sales later, after they already joined my List, so they will Get The Future commissions from that Lead, and if so, is there away to make it Transparent to the affiliate so they can see that they will be getting the sales.

      Clickbank will take care of this for you.
      Their default setting for cookies is 30 days I think.

      If your talking about building a recurring payout system, then you'll need some form of membership program that allows a "tiered" system.

      Yes.

      An example of someone who has this in place is Russel Brunson.

      Things are tracked on the back end, and as an affiliate I can see how many people I have referred to sign up, and I can get commissions when they purchase (within a specified time I'm sure).

    - Yes and No.. If you use a software (cookie stuffer) that you install on your server,
    then you might be able to place cookies for each optin lead for your affiliates so they can track sales later. But they wont be able to see if they will be getting sales, only you will see.

    Is there away to make it Transparent to the affiliate so they can see that they will be getting the sales?

    -Just make sure you give them an avarage of your conversion so they can calcute how
    much they will be making from the leads they got for you.

    If you want to show them how many leads they got you, just use infusionsoft. It has an whole system designed for your affiliates to track there leads and sales.

    They are willing only if you provide them with a way to track their leads and sales.
    Either trough infusionsoft or any other program with allows them to track.

    Trust me, I wouldnt promote anything without tracking. Tracking is the key for promoting. Do you think I would want to spent $100 advertising something without knowing if my traffic is getting me opt ins. No freaking way, without a tracking system of any kind, your just making your affiliates flushing money down the toilet and getting poor results for yourself.

    Be smart, show the affiliates you care about them and give them a tracking system.
