Default Help! Domain Vs blogger Vs sub domains - i am so confused

hey there,

I am not new in building we bsites but till now i have been only designing sites for others..

now i am planning to set up my own sites.. and i have doubt on how to go about it..

My purpose
I am planning to create short 10-20 pages web sites to earn from Adsense.

Around 30-40 such sites. But i am really getting stuck on the part of deciding weather i should host them on blogger OR seperate domain OR sub-domain

My main purpose of building these sites are traffic(that comes from search engines), because i want little but long term money from adsense.

So can you suggest something?

What's your experience?

I know most of the pros and cons of all these systems, since my main purpose is TRAFFIC. Can you share your experiences? Like if you created such small sites on blogger or subdomains etc what was your experience?

does google favours TLD more than subdomains etc?

Or am i just thinking too much. ?

Top level domains that contain the exact keywords
you want to target in your site.

You can use addon domains on same hosting account.

You can do BOTH.

The objection to blogger for most is that you don't own the hosting per say, so if blogger sees something they don't like you can get shut down quickly. You are also going to be limited in customizations.

Then again, if adsense sees something they don't like on your own hosted site, they will just close your adsense account without batting an eye.

For the best safety/results:

Choose your own domain/niche, be as keyword targeted in the domain as possible. Build your primary site and keep adding good content until the cows come home. You can set this up as a self hosted wordpress blog, and you will have all kinds of freedom in the way it is set up.

Subdomains are either used for specific things when your primary domain is a brand, or for sub categories of a main theme.

IE: your site is called cutestpuppies.com so your sub-domains might be dachsunds.cutestpuppies.com and dalmations.cutestpuppies.com - so they are relative to the primary domain and just more focused in the niche.

If you do your own hosting and adsense shuts you down for some silly reason, you can take all your wonderful content and sell the site, or sell products, etc. It still has value. If blogger shuts you down you can lose it all.

I am by no means an exert in this, but from what i have seen it can go both ways. Blogspot blogs or any blog or site that is not your own domain name is less credible, but at the same time there are some very successor blogspot blogs that dominate googl'e first page result for their keywords. Take for example "make money online", the number one spot (it moves up and down, but stays on the top 5 all the time) is a blogspot blog. And knowing how big and competitive the make money online (niche) keyword is, its amazing how a blogspot blog is dominating and winning against the sites with their own domain and hundreds of dollars and countless hours spend on seo.
So, i would say it all depend on your effort. Although i have heard that blogspot is a favorite of google, so it can help in page ranking, but at the same time, your future is in their hands. Any time they decide to pull the plug, they can, and you will lose everything you have worked so hard for.
I hope it helps. I know its frustrating, i was in the same situation when i was trying to build my first real blog, which eventually i decided to buy a domain. Now i know your need 20/30 domains and that can be costly, but you can use many domain registrars that offer domains for as little as $0.99.
Hope it helps.
