Article traffic question

I'm used to video marketing but I want to try article marketing a bit. I've written a few articles and I've submitted them to ezinearticles. What do people usually do as far as article marketing? There must be a little more to it than just writing a few articles and submitting them to EZA. Do people usually rewrite them a little and submit the to other article places, and are these articles usually bookmarked?

It depends how you are planning to use article marketing. If the idea is for the article to get listed on google themselves, then you can generate the backlinks to the article themselves.

However if it is for the backlinks, then you can take the same article, create its spinned version and submit to 100s of article directories.

There are many different ways to use Ezine Articles.

I use it to drive targetted traffic to my offers. I also
use it for good quality backlinks.

You can just use traffic from Ezine Articles alone to
build your optin lists in popular niches such as
      Weight Loss, etc....

Your really need to have a look around the forum.

We also use article marketing to promote our website. We have two strategies at the moment. We submit manually to high quality article directories with High page rank and that will get some visitors back to our site. The other one is for getting back links where we submit articles through article summation service that will submit to about 500 different article directories. The last one does not get you many clicks from the articles but it sure gets you lot of one way backlinks.

I have articles outsourced and submit them to two places - (see my sig.) - this is not only for backlinks but for a modicum of traffic - the prime importance for me is backlinks!

If you are new to article marketing, I'd recommend that you have a article marketing strategy so that you can see exactly what results your efforts are getting.

There is a free article marketing strategy available that will help you step-by-step from defining your strategy, to researching your articles, publishing as well as how you can then use these articles are repurpose them.

If you would like to have this article marketing strategy let, me know and I can send you the link. I'm currently using this strategy on another marketing campaign and my first article got 100 hits in 24hours.

The more targeted the article is to your market, the better the title, the higher quality the content is can make massive difference as well. One extremely well written article that features info on EXACTLY what your target market is looking for, posted in Ezine, can send tons of traffic directly to your site and be picked up by many sites which will result in quality backlinks as well.

I know, I am biased, but high quality original articles work baby...they work.

I'm looking to both get back links and to drive traffic to my site. But honestly it's more about driving traffic. I think I'd rather pay to get backlinks since that seems to be a bit on the cheaper side. I like tow write quality content myself to drive traffic, so I'll save the others for just getting back links.

I'll check out those article directory sites. I think a perfect solution is to have some kind of service that submits all of your articles to different sites.

Yes, I used to submit articles to EZA and once my articles are approved, I used to rewrite them and submit to other sites. (Always, I used to rewrite every time). Also, I used to update published article URLs on my twitter, facebook and etc + do some bookmarks for them. However, I don't limit articles to one or two per day, normally, I used to go with 10 or 11. That can bring more than using one or two articles. I hope it helps.
