Visitors from traffic exchanges need to be approached in a way that recognizes their motivation and the short duration of a typical visit.

These visitors are largely interested in attracting traffic to their own sites and visit yours only to obtain a visit in return.

As well, these visitors are usually only required to view your site for 10-30 seconds. This means your landing page has to appeal to them instantly and have strong impact or you've lost the chance.

As a result, most success appears to come for those who are set up to capture email addresses by offering something which tempts them enough to part with these details.

The money is in the follow up.

You can get more information from the following site. This lists a number of the top user-rated exchanges. There are articles on the site which describe in more detail how to approach this sort of traffic. The blog also contains a lot of useful information about attracting free traffic.

Top Traffic Exchanges and Best Rated Traffic Exchange

The information on that site does not require you to sign up to get it!

        Exactly.

There is also something else you can use it for - to up your impressions or click... especially since you know it is low converting traffic.

trialed and tested earning with a PC since 1977
This quote from the page should tell you something. If the guy truly started earning in the very first year that home computers came about, he would certainly have a better system in place than traffic exchanges.

I would be suspicious of anyone claiming to be earning online before 1990 at the earliest. I'm not saying that no one was using their computer that way, but I find it highly suspect.

depends what you mean by substantial...

They were directly responsible for me being able to make the jump from part time to full time, and continously bring in 3k to 4k new subscribers to my programs and lists every month.

While i dont rely on them exclusivly anymore, I dont ignore them either

If your in the make money online niche everyone using a traffic echange is an active affiliate for someone, active affilliates are a gold mine to have in your programs or on your lists.

    Robert

PS: there is a downside... they are usually very fickle and jump from program to program. you need to get them into your own programs quickly and solidify your relationship with them... Hence there is a big turn over associated with them

      Hey Robert,

No The traffic exchanges work if you use a squeeze page etc but the fellow was asking about the link above^ i checked it out and immediately perceived scam .something not adding up in that page.

As I've practically tested, they work.

But, perhaps it's may be little difficult than other methods because ALL SURFERES NEED ONLY MORE CREDITS SO THEY DON'T CONSIDER YOU.

Actually, there're some truths identical for traffic exchangers and if you'll be able to win them, you can find the success.

Traffic exchange sites like easyhits4u.com,ts25.com or similar don't convert into sales and real readers for your blog/affiliate sites. So those traffic exchange sites are completely useless. There is no point in such traffic.

That's a totally misinformed statement. People who don't take the time to learn the most effective use of traffic exchanges can expect to fail, just as you can fail with a list of 50,000 subscribers.

There are many people using traffic exchanges effectively (i.e. as a lead capture tool) and profiting from them.

Gary, i could be wrong on this one cause i don't have product or list to sale. For me i tried to get readers/subscribers that way and it didn't worked for me.

I would agree that TE programs can work for subscribers. Although many people do pay to have automated views, there is a base of actual human visitors that do sign up on your squeeze pages. I use Traffic Swarm and real people do sign up.
