Internet Marketing Seminar Extravaganza!!

Im going to be doing some internet marketing seminars across the country. I have some ideas and techniques I will be sharing but wanted put this out for discussion.

I thought (If the moderators are cool with it) that I would offer a 16GB Zune Touch (better than an Ipod) to the person who offered the best answer.

Here's the question......

In a 1 day seminar what would be the best topics to cover. From design to sales copy, long form sales letters, back links and article marketing what would be a good list of topics to cover. (A to Z)

Give me your most detailed opinion on this and I will ship a 16gb Zune Touch to the best answer.

I will ask the winner for their address and I will ship it anywhere in the world.

If you have questions feel free to ask.

If this is against TAC's I appologize in advance.

    Hi Mate,

    I'll give this a go...

How long is your seminar and are you teaching or selling?
Are you known to these people or are you a new face to them?

    Take Care,

    Michael Silvester

I already have a HUGE list compiled over a year now.

I've worked hard for compiling the list.

Do you want me to post it here or PM would be fine?

I'd like to keep it a secret. It's the MOST detailed list of ideas hardly any marketer other than me could have.

I'm sure you will be highly surprised and pleased with the list.

      It's my blood and sweat.

Traffic I think would be most people's soft spot, although the proper usage of Twitter & Facebook seem to be mine

Effective copy would be #2 imo, though not sure that is something that can be taught effectively in one day, but does open a greats sales opportunity if you have a CW product.

For sure ronakshah PM me anything private. AND Mike, YES I will be a brand new face. I plan on doing radio and newspaper and selling $99.00 all day seminar and having a back end package that I will upsell. I considered a more expensive package, but the way Im going to do it is Im going to do 4 seminars in major metro's so I can advertise for all 4 on radio and newspaper. ANYWAY Im rambling.... yes I will be a new face but I'm pretty sure my price and adcopy with radio and newspaper will fill my seats.

Hope to receive my 16 GB iPod.

I have a whole list which covers IM from A-Z. You can choose which ever suits you best.

If you need my opinion on the best list which you can cover, I will recommend it from the list. However, everything within my list can have a day's seminar on it.

I need your email address as the list is on a Mindmap. I use Mindjet. Is that okay or you need in .doc format?

I am sending you a PM right now.

In my opinion.. You should assess who your target market is.
    you should be asking yourself:
    a) Do these people know how to make websites?
    b) Do they know what backlinking is?
    c) Do they have any idea what Online Marketing is?

I mean.. if you're going to do mass marketing for these seminars it means you have no idea who you are targeting. For all you know you could get a ton of technically challenged people who want to make some quick money and will be relying on your seminar for guidance. Obviously, you can't spend your day teaching these people how to get traffic when they don't have any idea what a website is.

Maybe do some more streamlined/targeted marketing or just go ahead and pitch a more general seminar on the possibilities of Online marketing in your country. Make money on backend products for people in different stages of the IM cycle. Like... take the technically versed people on your A list detailed course. Send the rest to web design classes... you get the idea.

Ya Davoli your right about the audience. Im sure I will get a mix of people who know a little and people who know nothing as well as some that are maybe making a few bucks. That will be a challenge.

In my opinion, most likely your audience will have 2 types, one is newbies, one is intermediate internet marketers.

For newbies, they always wanted to know about making money in the internet asap,so i think affiliate marketing is a good subject for it, and topics that can be cover that came across my mind now is how to find a profitable market, some free and simple traffic generation method such as article marketing, video marketing ,etc.

And for intermediate marketers, topic on traffic generation will be quite interesting, and i believe most of the people are struggling on this. Topics that can be cover might be different source of traffic, PPC, SEO (perhaps a mixture of black hat and white hat methods), social bookmarking.

I believe you will have some backend offers, so try to see which of your offer fits in which category, preferably to both of the crowd, this will add value to all your audience.

just my 2 cents. hope it helps.

    All the best.

    Cheers,
    Joel

I've done my share of Internet marketing seminars and classes I can tell you based on testimonials what people want.

One of the things I learned to do was to dumb down my technical teaching. I try to keep things fairly high level and allow people to fill in the blanks either with questions or follow-up calls or the included workbook material.

The most common requests I get from people revolve around Google and social media marketing. Another popular topic that not many marketers cover in their seminars is modern sales psychology. Too often we ignore the fact that the buyer's mindset has changed in the last decade and will continue to change. When you help people get inside the mind of the modern buyer allows them to craft the right approach out of the gate.

I hope that helps I don't really need the MP3 player either way.

All the best and happy new year!
