Automate my WSO

Can someone give me a step-by-step method to automating my WSO? I am planning on using paypal as my payment processor. Thanks.

Yes I would suggest using WSO Pro myself. The only thing is if you plan to sell outside of the warrior forum which I do you might need another piece of software on your server to manage those transactions and downloads.

For that I use DL guard.

I appreciate the suggestions, but I was looking at doing it the free way without purchasing anything.

Well your WSO thread will cost you $20
your WSO Pro listing will be another $20

You can do it the free way but it will be wrought with problems. PayPal does have an auto returns feature that will allow you to specify the download URL of your product. But not everybody knows to click to return to merchant button after purchase. PayPal will not e-mail your download link which means you will probably be dealing with customer service e-mails and middle of the night thread bumps from people complaining they didn't get their product.

I highly recommend you avoid the free option if at all possible.

I can vouch for WSO Pro.

It has saved so much time and makes selling on the Warrior Forum a breeze.

The only thing I would like to see added is a OTO/upsell feature.

Then just download PayPal's IPN script and code it to work with your product to automate the delivery.

You'll need a MySQL DB if you want to store your transactions, some scripting to protect the download from hackers and search engines and email integration for the download email instructions.

It's fairly easy to do...

Like Brad, I use DLG for the none-WSO sales too. The thing about 'free' for this kind of thing is that it will always cost you, and usually more. Your time is worth something too, otherwise you wouldn't charge for it, and in my view it is spent better by stumping up for the paid solution and getting on with other things that pull in money rather than spending it trying to put together a free solution and then worrying about the holes in it and fixing their consequences.

To be honest, if you feel from the outset that a WSO can't absorb the $17 cost of WSO Pro and ultimately still show a profit then I would seriously reconsider running it at all.

I concur...I used WSO Pro and it more than makes up for the $17 you spend on it...considering it tracks conversions and automatically adds people to your Aweber list (my favorite feature)...

pay pal offers an auto-return without having to require a click to return to merchant .

It works . The last time I used it , it only dropped 57% of my customers . ( no sh!t actual number)

There is no excuse to do free when you are selling something you can make a profit with. You have tested at least to the point of knowing that your copy will sell... haven't you ?

It only took me one time to figure out , sitting up half the night, replying back to pissed off customers that got dropped with sorry for the inconvenience, your refund has been honored , no, please enjoy the complimentary copy , is not free at all.

I used CRAFTBOOM myself. I've since been told that using the coupon code MEVIO gets you four months free.

WSO Pro does WSO-related stuff (duh! sorry) like send you an e-mail when your WSO has dropped off page 2 and show you how many views/clicks your WSO has had etc. There are other things too, but New Year's Eve beer brain fog persists a little this morning and I haven't had enough coffee yet either. Other than that it's just like DLG - protecting your files, integrating with Aweber etc.

I can't remember what prompted me to give WSO Pro a try as I am a huge fan of DLG too, but I switched over on my first WSO after having used DLG on it for a while. What prompted me to continue with it was that when I was using DLG on the offer, every (random number) of sales I would get an e-mail from a buyer saying that the zip file was corrupt. This used to drive me nuts, especially since the 'cure' just seemed to be to upload the identical zip file and have them try the link again. Strangely, just having them try the link again had them reporting the same error. Sales had slowed down a bit on that offer by the time I switched to WSO Pro several weeks ago, as they generally do after the first flush, but I have not had one buyer complaining that the zip file was corrupt since, so now I use it on all of them.

DLG used outside of WSOs hasn't ever proved to be a problem for me though.
