Hot Niches in 2010?

Hey Warriors,

So what do you think will be the hot niches in 2010? You can mention new niches or "old" ones...

I would say that anything related to debt, green energy, dating, weight loss, seduction will be hot. Also muscle building can be too. Search for diseases will grow like diabetes, cancer and so on... Stop smoking might as well be there too!

So what's your take on this?

    Your niches are pretty broad. I wouldn't even classify them as niches.

          Sorry you missed it! Christmas day, Detroit Metro airport, terrorist hid explosive powder in his underwear, once he had boarded the plane, he took it out, shot a vial of chemical into the powder but it malfunctioned and he set himself on fire and burned two others.

          It was the same powder that another terrorist tried to sneak on plane in his shoe. Security checks at Detroit Metro and various other airports are causing much grief as this holiday season is one of the busiest flying times of the year!

      I think IM is going to be even more massive next year
      everybody has had enough and wants a life line
      IM gives you that, but still so many people think this is a get rich over night scheme and then have a moan about the IM game when they dont become rich over night.
      If only there was away of educated them first, and let them try without losing $$$$$$$$ or ££££££ first??

    I think as more and more Baby Boomers hit 50 and 60 (which is now) there will be more interest in retirement, how to find good health care providers, scooter reviews, how the new medical coverages affect them, wills, trusts...

    I completely agree about IM, it's getting bigger and bigger. A lot of people and business rely on the internet these days and I think it will only get worse or better for us I would say!

    I also think that getting out of debt or fixing people credits will be big too for middle income families. And you can see that with unemployment so high people are getting more open minded about self employment and learning a bit more to get some extra income.

    And I completely agree with Matt! Retirement and investments since a lot of baby boomers have to pass there money to kids etc.

            with consumer spending on the up, and apparently the worst of the recession behind us (never believe the press), I think home electronics for example Internet Ready TVs are going to take the market by storm in 2010.

                Amazon don't appear to have any products that match at this stage.

                Not sure how to monetize until physical products are available to promote. Although I do have a website and domain ready to go, with skeleton content.

    I think more internet marketing training will be sought after in massive ways in 2010 especially with all the recent job losses that have been happening, and also I feel video marketing is going to get a lot stronger as well... that's just my predictions for 2010!

    I agree with everyone's suggestions thus far and would like to add my own: Security, especially in airports and IT; debt counseling and debt relief; all of the baby boomer issues Matt suggested, as well as some others I'd like to add: retirement properties; trusts and wills; retirement planning; health insurance; travel-related options/discount packages, resorts, planning, destinations, etc. for baby-boomers; spiritual and other personal development, as well as general education also for boomers.       I wonder with Oprah leaving television if there's going to be a niche to supply her type of entertainment to her audience.

      A niche of people who need their Oprah fix? From what I understand, her audience is massive.


      Another trend is employment. Less and less people trust monsters/hotjobs/careerbuilders. I'm not just talking about the jobseekers... but employers too. There are a lot of ways to monetize this market without having to be expensive.

      Review sites. I've noticed a huge increase in traffic to my review sites over the last few months, and the longtails containing "reviews" are where these people are coming from.

      So, we've got Oprah, Employment, and Reviews from me. Hopefully some of you guys have better ideas!!!

    2010 - The World Cup will be huge this year. I was lucky enough to be into IM during the last World Cup, and managed to stumble upon a few soccer related niches at the time. They paid for the house that I'm in now. Of course Google was way different back then.

    However the World Cup market is massive. If you can tap into that in some small way, it will be huge for you.

      Any successful pursuit is going to be time consuming. But the money definitely keeps it from becoming too stressful.

      I myself actually find it much less stressful to move from one popular niche to the next, rather than stay in one niche and try to fight off an ever more saturated market place full of competition. It keeps your mind alert, and it prevents you from putting all of your eggs into the same basket.

      It is in my opinion, I prefer sticking with what I know and trying to improve on it. I think Video & CPA Marketing are going to get bigger in 2010, so whatever Niche you target you cant go wrong with these two..
