Site Review, Please?

Very Nice -

A few things I'd consider changing -

In the Wine Club section.

#1 - I'd have the first page not show the pricing. Instead, I'll have levels (bronze, silver, gold) - pick something better or more wine appropriate. I'd also have a some verbiage explaining what a Wine Club is in general.

Then on the individual page, you can show the pricing, along with the detail.

#2- If you could stretch the page down and use only 1 column on the Wine Club page, then you could layout your clubs in order of price - with the info I mentioned above. It looks strange to me to see the same squat page and the 3 clubs wrapped in two columns. If I don't have any opportunity to scroll down - I'm not engaged - physically, too easy to leave.

#3 - How many bottles of wine am I getting for my money. I'd make a picture showing multiple bottles of wine (with actual examples of the types provided) and add to the detail section for each club.

Overall - home page, elsewhere:

#4 - Who's the customer? Where's my insight into that? This site lacks the people element. Let's see some happy customers (your target buyer) actually enjoying the product. The images on the front page are pretty - but without people, the site lacks a human feel. (imho)

#5 - Who's making the wine decision? Again - the people element. Who's behind this scouring the globe for cool wines? Can we get some info on the person, pictures, testimonials, something to add credibility and authority?

Thanks for the advise guys. I had forgotten about the use of human pictures to help conversion rates.

We'll be adding more information about the clubs in terms of what we've already shipped as well as testimonials(both written and video) in the next couple of weeks.

I'm not sure if you're editing your site as I am typing this, however when I visited your website there is nothing on it. All that it shows me is the domain name, +2 green lines. If you are editing it at, let me know when you've changed it, and I can take a look again.
